     Col. William Lyne III was born in 1737 at King and Queen Co., VA. He was the son of William Lyne II. Col. William Lyne III married Lucy Foster Lyne, daughter of Henry Lyne and Lucy Foster, circa 1760. Col. William Lyne III lived at King and Queen Co., VA, Member, Committee of Safety, 1775. Member, Virginia House of Burgesses, 1769, 1770 and 1771. William Lyne is named in a number of land and tax transactions in King and Queen County during and after the Revolutionary period.

He began military service Col. in the Virginia line, Revolutionary War. He died on 27 September 1808 at near Dunkirk, King and Queen Co., VA.

Lynne was one of two husbands of Patricia R. Iceman who is also buried at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. It appears this was a later in life marriage for her, as her children carried the Miller surname of her first husband. Cannot validate that these marriages are to the same Donald G.
