LYONS - Lanah H. Wiens, 91, died Feb. 9, 1989, at the Sandstone Heights Nursing Home, Little River. Born Lanah H. Long Jan. 5, 1898, at Quinter, she married Peter F. Wiens April 22, 1922, at Hutchinson. He died April 29, 1960. A retired schoolteacher, she was a resident of Lyons since 1953.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, the American Legion Women's Auxiliary, the World War I Auxiliary, the Rice County Historical Society, all of Lyons, the American Association of Retired People, Native Sons and Daughters Of Kansas, and the Domestic Arts Club, Chase.

Survivors: son, Loren, Lyons; sisters, M. Louise Bedard, Hutchinson, Rose Hurd, Erlanger, Ky; and three grandchildren.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday at the church, the Rev. Ron Swedberg. Burial will be in the Lyons Municipal Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Sillin Funeral Home, Lyons. Memorials may go to the church or to Sandstone Heights Nursing Home, Little River.
