Darin J. Maas, the son of William and Karen (Wilson) Maas, was born on Sept. 18, 1968, in Battle Creek, Iowa. He attended high school in Ida Grove, Iowa.

On May 15, 1993, Darin was united in marriage with Terri Mitchell in Schleswig, Iowa. He worked as a concrete layer for various companies.

Darin is survived by three children, Ethan Maas, Kira Maas, and Lane Maas; his mother, Karen (Gerald) Meister; his former wife, Terri; two brothers, Kevin Maas and Lee (Michelle) Maas, all of Sioux City; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents; and his father.

William C. Maas

IDA GROVE, Iowa -- William C. Maas, 33, of Ida Grove, died Tuesday of injuries he suffered in an accident at his home.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church at Ida Grove. The Rev. Harry Dailey will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The Rosary will be recited by the parish at 8 p.m today in the Christensen Funeral Home.

Mr. Maas was born April 9, 1947, at Hayfield, Minn. He lived in Brownsdale, Minn., and came to Ida Grove 16 years ago.

He married Karen Sue Wilson July 8, 1967 at Ida Grove.

Survivors include the widow; three sons, Darin, Kevin and Lee, all at home; his mother, Mrs. Dorothy Maas of Mesa, Ariz; four brothers, Darrell of Brownsdale, John and Tom, both of Austin, Minn., and Richard of Rochester, Minn; and two sisters, Mrs. John (Margaret) Laverink of Austin and Miss Mary Maas of Mesa.
