She was the daughter of Johann Peter Metzger and Katharina Munzinger. Juliana Metzger married Walter Munzinger, son of Walter Munzinger and Maria Eva Munzinger, on 13 August 1863 at Obermiesau, Palatinate. Juliana Metzger died on 21 December 1891 at Obermiesau, Palatinate, Germany, at age 49.

     Leroy R. Metzger was born on 5 July 1915 at Auglaize Co., OH. He was the son of Grant Edward Metzger and Ida May Thomas. Leroy R. Metzger began military service WW II service, Co. B, 741 Tank Battalion. He married Mabel Elizabeth Briggs, daughter of Strawder Cleveland Briggs and Georgia Kenyon Trotter, on 5 November 1953. Leroy R. Leroy Metzger

Wapakoneta - Services for Leroy Metzger, 56, of 305 E. Benton, head of the maintenance department of the Pepsi-Cola plant at Lima, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in First United Methodist Church, Rev. Paul Steele officiating. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery.
A veteran of World War II, Mr. Metzger died 10:05 p.m. Saturday in St. Rita's Hospital, Lima, following a six-weeks illness. He was born July 5, 1915, near here, the son of Grant and Ida Thomas Metzger. His mother survives in this city.
He was married Nov. 5, 1953, to Betsy Briggs, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Martin, at home; two sisters, Mrs. Bernard (Cleo) Roth of 2200 Oakland Pkwy., Lima, and Mrs. C.B. (Lucille) Irwin of Sun City, Calif; and two brothers, Luther of 8448 Harding Hwy., Lima, and Dean of this city.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church.

     Dorothy Anna Meuleveld was born on 27 October 1916 at Iowa. She was the daughter of Jacob Meuleveld and Josephine Katherine Lutgen.1 Dorothy Anna Meuleveld married Raymond Leland Wilton, son of Edgar Howland Sniffen and Gertrude Emily Moniger, on 12 May 1934 at Clay Co., SD, This marriage had ended prior to the April 1940 Federal census, when Dorothy and her daughter Jo Ann Wilton were living with her parents and Raymond was living alone, both in Sioux City.

Dorothy Anna Meuleveld and Raymond Leland Wilton were divorced; Dorothy and Raymond were separated but not yet divorced by April, 1940, as per their 1940 census listings. This divorce was acrimonious, according to Raymond's daughter Margo Harvey, in part because Raymond was in the hospital with tuberculosis at the time.

Dorothy Anna Meuleveld married Everett Harry Onstot on 4 May 1942 at Maryville, Nodaway Co., MO. Dorothy Anna Meuleveld and Everett Harry Onstot were divorced. Dorothy Anna Meuleveld married Lt. U.S. Navy Frank Chester Scesney, marriage record not found, however Dorothy was listed as "Mrs. Dorothy Scesney" in the Sioux City directory. Dorothy Anna Meuleveld lived in 1952 at 2709 Edmonds Avenue, Sioux City, Woodbury Co., IA, beauty salon operator, per city directory. She died on 8 July 1990 at Riverside Co., CA, at age 73

Dorothy Ann Meuleveld Knight, 73, of Blythe, Calif. and formerly of Sioux City died Sunday, July 1990 in a Palm Springs, Calif. hospital after a long illness. Mrs. Knight was born Oct. 27, 1917, in Sioux City. She had lived in California for the last 30 years. Survivors include two daughters, Jo Ann Mays of Sioux City and Jane McElroy of Temecula, Calif; her mother, Josephine Meuleveld of Sioux City; two brothers, Jacob Meuleveld of Sioux City and Tom Meuleveld of Eugene, Ore; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The body was cremated and the ashes will be buried at 1 p.m. Friday in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sioux City. Burial will be under the direction of the Berkemeier Funeral Home.

Jacob “Jake” Meuleveld, 83, 2709 Edmonds Ave., died Thursday at a Sioux City hospital after a long illness. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Berkemier Funeral Home. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Lou McLoughlin, Bill Pfaffle, Jim Blake, Don Neely, Richard Stricker and George Bakker. Mr. Meuleveld was born April 4, 1891, at Amsterdam, Holland. He moved to the United States and Sioux City in 1908. Mr. Meuleveld married Josephine Lutgen In 1914 in Sioux City. He was employed by Leo Pflantz painting contractor for several years and later by Soren Hansen and Son contracting company. He retired in 1963. Mr. Meuleveld was a member of Local 214, Painters International Union. He served the organization as president for six years. Survivors include the widow; three sons, Jacob Jr. of Sioux City, Thomas of Scaposse, Ore., and Paul of Portland, Ore; two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Knight of Blythe, Calif., and Mrs. Jo Ann Connolly of Sioux City, 10 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for the Rev. Byron M. Meyer, 70, of 4014 6th St. E, who died Thursday at University Hospital in Birmingham, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Cottondale Baptist Church. The Rev. Ron English, the Rev. Harold Pitts and the Rev. Otis Hill will officiate with burial in Tuscaloosa Memorial Park and Memory Chapel Funeral Home directing.
