Hilary M. Oberembt
Hilary M. "Larry" Oberembt, 69, of Mundelein, Ill., formerly of Sioux City, died Sunday, Nov. 16, 1997, at his residence.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Santa Maria del Popolo Chapel in Mundelein. Burial will be in Ascension Cemetery at Libertyville, Ill. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today, with a vigil service at 8 p.m, at Kristan Funeral Home in Mundelein.

Mr. Oberembt was born Dec. 17, 1927, in Dimock, S.D. He graduated from Trinity High School in Sioux City, where he participated in basketball, football and boxing. He attended Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wis., where he played football. He was an avid golfer and was employed at the Countryside Golf Course in Mundelein.

Survivors include his wife, Maxine (Rorris); two sons and their wives, Randy and Donna of St. Louis, Mo. and Lane and Frances of Lindenhurst, Ill; a daughter and her husband, Laurie Oberembt-Borman and Matt Borman of Falls Church, Va; two sisters, Collette Oberembt of Milwaukee and Patricia and her husband Paul Kennedy of Chicago, Ill; and three grandchildren, Katherine, Joanne and Jacquelyn.

Memorials may be directed to the Carmel High School Booster Club in Mundelein.
