LAURA WHITE, WAYNE NATIVE, DIES

Mrs. Laura D. White, 67, of McLeansboro, a native of Wayne County, a niece of Frank Molt, of Fairfield, died Sunday a week ago at the Manatee Hospital in Bradenton, Fla.
Services were conducted at the Gholson's Funeral Home in McLeansboro last week and burial was in Maple Hill Cemetery in Fairfield.
She was born in Wayne County on Nov. 5, 1909, the daughter of Everett and Stella (Allgire) Molt. She was married to Verner Brewer who preceded her in death. She was later marred to Robert White who also preceded her in death.
Surviving are a son, Leon White, of Delavan, Wis., a daughter, Mrs. Stella Taylor, of Indianapolis, Ind., seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren, two brother, Leo Molt, of Brandenton, Fla. and Loren Molt, of Ogden, Ill, three sisters, Mrs. Lucille Bumpass, of Quincy, Ill., Mrs. Lois Robinson of Freeburg and Louise Commings of Clayton, Ind.

She was buried in April 1977 at Maple Hill Cemetery, Fairfield, Wayne Co., IL.

MRS. ARCHIE MILLER DIES AT THE FAMILY HOME
Well-Known Farmer's Wife, Ill a Year With Tuberculosis, Passes Away Near Geff
Mrs. Maggie May Miller, wife of Archie Miller, died at the family home south of Geff last Friday evening, March 30th, after a long illness of tubercular trouble, which has its beginning last summer.
The burial took place Sunday in Maple Hill cemetery, after a service at the First M.E. church in this city conducted by the pastor, Rev. A. R. Ransom.

Maggie May, daughter of Charles and Kate Molt, was born in Wayne County, near Enterprise, Ill., June 4th, 1894. She lived that community until she was united in marriage with Archie Miller, November 3, 1912. She and her husband then settled on a farm two and one fourth miles south of Geff, where she resided until she passed away Friday evening, March 30, 1934, at the age of 39 years, 9 months and 26 days.
To this union was born one son Charles, age 14, who with the husband is left to mourn.
She had been in failing health for some time and has been confined to her bed for about five months. She bore her suffering with great patience. All that loving hands and medical aid could do, was done, but the hand of death could not be stayed.
Maggie was converted early in womanhood and united with the Evangelical church at Enterprise where she held her membership until about 10 years ago when she and her husband united with the First M.E. church of Fairfield. She was a faithful Christian true to her Savior and her church, attending services when her health permitted. She expressed several times that she was ready to go when her savior called, and that she would meet her loved ones in heaven.
Besided the heart broken husband and son, she leaves to mourn one brother, Frank Molt and one sister, Mrs. Lizzie Johnson, both of near Geff, Ill., three half brothers., Jerome Molt, of near Geff, Ill., John Molt, of Catlin, Ill., William Molt, of Indianapolis, Ind; three half sisters, Frona Baum, of Danville, Ill., Allie Miller, of Sidell, Ill., and Lutie Donovan, of Indianola, Ill. She also leaves many nieces and nephews and a large circle of friends who will miss her from their number.

She was buried in April 1934 at Maple Hill Cemetery, Fairfield, Wayne Co., IL.

Marian M. (Molt) Copeland of Ballwin, Mo., died July 9, 2008, in Creve Coeur, Mo. She was 81.

Mrs. Copeland was a homemaker. She was born Nov. 8, 1926, in Geff, Ill.

Mrs. Copeland is survived by her husband, James W. Copeland Jr; sons, Jay, John (Pam) and Tom (Cherie) Copeland; daughters, Sandy and Karen Copeland; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and other relatives.

The funeral was July 15 at the Schrader Chapel in Ballwin, with interment at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.

Arrangements were made by Schrader Funeral Home.
