Mrs. Belle Bingham Dead
Funeral services for Mrs. Belle Bingham, were conducted from the North Loup M. E. Church Tuesday afternoon May 31, Mrs. Bingham having passed away May 27, 1932, in North Loup at 2 p.m. Friday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ward Gowen. She had been an invalid for the past two years and confined to a wheel chair most of that time. At 8:30 a.m. Friday, she was smitten with a severe stroke of paralysis and became unconscious, living only a few hours.
Mary Arabelle Banta, daughter of Smith and Mary Jane London Banta, was born in Marion County, Ia, June 23, 1860, and was married there to Joseph Bingham on August 2, 1877. Five children were born to them, three of whom came with the parents to Valley County in 1908, settling in Riverdale. Mr. Bingham passed away on June 12, 1920, after which the family lived in Rosevale neighborhood, Garfield County, for four years, then moving back near North Loup. Mrs. Bingham also spent a year in Florida with the Ward Gowen family. Children who survive their mother are Charles, of Kingsburg, Calif., Earl and Mrs. Veda Gowen, of North Loup. Mrs. Bingham was a woman of fine christian character and a most pleasing personality.
She leaves to mourn her loss besides the three children, six grandchildren, James Kimbrel, Franklin, Rex, and Maxine Bingham and Forest Gowen, of North Loup, Nebr., also Roy Bingham of Kingsburg, Calif., and one great grandchild, little Vier Kimbrel and numerous relatives and a host of friends. She also leaves three sisters, Mrs. Bertha Smith of Purdy, Ia., Mrs. Nora McCoy, Mrs. C. L. Zin of Melcher, Ia., and three brothers, John Q. Adams, Macksburg, W. A. Adams, of New Virginia, Alfred A. Adams, of Purdy, all of Iowa. She was converted and joined the Methodist Church at Gosport, Iowa, in early life and lived a fine christian life until God called her home.

Rev. G.A. Schwabauer had charge of the funeral and music was furnished by a mixed quartet. Pall bearers were relatives. Interment was in the family lot in Scotia Cemetery.
