Evangeline Munsinger was born in June 1852 at Lorain Co., OH.1 She was the daughter of Charles Munsinger and Electa Northrup. Evangeline Munsinger married John Casada Noel, son of Quin Martin Noel and Sarah Casada, on 29 January 1869 at Sidney, Fremont Co., IA, It appears that the marriage of John Noel and Evangeline Munsinger was possibly done secretly, inasmuch as they reported they were "single" in the 1870 census, and her surname was "Munsinger", when they were both living in the Charles Munsinger household. In the 1910 census, Evangeline reported six children born, five still living at that time.

He was born March 17, 1925, near Harlan in Smith County, to Roy and Emma (McClain) Munsinger. He was a 1942 graduate of Harlan High School and obtained a bachelor's degree in education from York College, York, Neb., in 1949. In 1953, he received a master's degree in school administration from Fort Hays State University.
He married Ivalee Mizell on Nov. 3, 1949, in Clayton. He was involved in teaching, coaching and administration at schools in Densmore, Long Island, Jetmore and Dighton prior to retirement and moving to Hays in 1983. During the World War II, he entered the U.S. Air Force in August 1943, obtaining the rank of sergeant before receiving an honorable discharge in March 1946.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church and American Legion for many years.
Survivors include his wife, of the home in Hays; a son, Terry Munsinger and wife, Vicki, Wichita; two daughters, Debra McClellan and husband, Steve, Colorado Springs, Colo., and Cynthia Munsinger, Hays; a brother, Larry Munsinger and wife, Celeste, San Mato, Texas; four grandchildren, Matthew McClellan, Denver, Jennifer McClellan-Fukuda and husband, Kenn, St. Paul, Minn., Trent Munsinger, Seattle, and Katelyn Munsinger, Wichita; a great-grandson, Matthew Paul O'Hara Jr; a nephew, Todd Munsinger; and a niece, Renee Williamson.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church, Hays with military honors by Hays American Legion and VFW; inurnment will be Saturday in Fairview Cemetery, Phillipsburg.

Funeral services were held in the Methodist church at 2 o'clock Monday by Rev. Ted Shephard, pastor of the Presbyterian church of Humboldt, assisted by Rev. W. E. Caldwell, pastor of the Methodist congregation.
Mr. Munsinger had been a resident of Table Rock for about forty years, has always been a hard worker and devoted to his family. The surviving children and other relatives have the sympathy of the community in their bereavement.

Funeral services were held in the Methodist church at 2 o'clock Monday by Rev. Ted Shephard, pastor of the Presbyterian church of Humboldt, assisted by Rev. W. E. Caldwell, pastor of the Methodist congregation.
Mr. Munsinger had been a resident of Table Rock for about forty years, has always been a hard worker and devoted to his family. The surviving children and other relatives have the sympathy of the community in their bereavement.
