     Lois Wilma Nelson was born on 27 September 1922 at Washington Co., IN.¹ She was the daughter of William H. Nelson and Elsie Mae Huston.¹ Lois Wilma Nelson married Robert Johnson, son of Ralph P. Johnson and Edith Motsinger, on 29 May 1942 at Indiana, Robert later remarried, first to Beatrice Pauline Deacon (1919 - 1992) and second in 2001 to Loretta Jean Williams (1923 -- 2019). Lois Wilma Nelson died on 17 October 1999 at age 77. She was buried in October 1999 at Franklin Cemetery, Salem, Washington Co., IN, Findagrave #45122449.

     Margaret Vesta Nelson was born on 10 November 1904 at Maryland.¹ She was the daughter of George Lionel Nelson and Malinda J. Hoffman.² Margaret Vesta Nelson married Wade Franklin Rutledge, son of Joseph A. Rutledge and Effie M. Franklin, circa 1929 at Baltimore (probably), MD.¹ Margaret Vesta Nelson died on 23 February 1989 at Baltimore (probably), MD, at age 84.

     Mary Nelson was born circa 1853 at Indiana or Kentucky 1860 shows IN, 1870 shows KY.¹ She was the daughter of Augustine O. Nelson and Hannah Catherine Dryden.¹

     Mary J. Nelson was born in 1862. She married John Alexander Colvin, son of Robert Columbus Colvin and Mary Jane Coil, in 1885 at Mercer Co., OH. Mary J. Nelson died in 1920.

     Nellie M. Nelson was born on 13 November 1893 at North Liberty, St. Joseph Co., IN.¹ She married James R. Stickley on 27 April 1910 at La Porte Co., IN. Nellie M. Nelson died on 13 October 1977 at Plymouth, Marshall Co., IN, at age 83. She was buried in October 1977 at Woodlawn Cemetery, Walkerton, St. Joseph Co., IN, Findagrave #32074010.

     Noalma Myrtle Nelson was born on 24 November 1905 at Davenport, Scott Co., IA. She married Wilbert William Spengler. Noalma Myrtle Nelson died on 4 July 2001 at Davenport, Scott Co., IA, at age 95. She was buried in July 2001 at Oakdale Memorial Gardens, Davenport, Scott Co., IA, Findagrave #91971199.

     Dr. Oscar E. Nelson was born circa 1877 at Minnesota Probably January, 1877. An Oscar F. Nelson with that birth date is listed in the 1900 census of Nicollet County, St. Peter. He married Helen Moore Stover, daughter of William Burbridge Stover and Eva Adeline Adams, on 25 June 1918.¹ Dr. Oscar E. Nelson lived in 1926 at Minneapolis, Hennepin Co., MN.¹ He was Presbyterian.¹

     Oscar H. Nelson was also known as "Ole". He was born in 1890 at Sweden.¹ He married Dora E. Boston on 1 January 1914 at Boone, Boone Co., IA. Oscar H. Nelson died in 1970. He was buried in 1970 at Junction Township Cemetery, Grand Junction, Greene Co., IA, Findagrave #97994524.

     Peter August Nelson was born circa 1875 at Sweden. He married Ethel J. Kitzmiller, daughter of Samuel Thomas Kitzmiller and Margaret Adeline Greenwood, on 4 March 1905 at Chicago, Cook Co., IL. Peter August Nelson died on 7 July 1921 at Chicago, Cook Co., IL.

"It turns out that there were a number of Peter Nelsons born in Sweden about the same year as our Peter August Nelson and living in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois. Several of them were, in fact, Peter August Nelsons. Searching Ancestry.com for records for our Peter August Nelson returns records for many other Peter Nelsons.

Here is what we know. Our Peter August Nelson was born in Sweden about 1875. In the 1910 Census he is listed as August Nelson. He is living with wife Ethel, daughter Ethel, his wife's sister, Daisy Burke and Daisy's daughter, Irene Burke. In the 1920 Census he is shown as widowed and living with his daughter, Ethel D. Nelson. In both of these census records, our Peter August Nelson lists his occupation as a baker.

I have been able to eliminate several of these Peter Nelsons. I mention them here because information for some of them shows up in Ancestry trees as belonging to our Peter August Nelson.

The first is a Peter August Nelson born 10 Feb 1875. He married Anna Unknown before 1918 and installed elevators for a living. This Peter August Nelson died in early October 1949 and is buried in Graceland Cemetery.

The second is a Peter A. Nelson that married Ida Mathilda "Tillie" Holmquist in 1902.

The third is a Peter A. Nelson, born in 1874 in Sweden and had a daughter, Ethel (1905 - 1953) who married Victor Edward Karlsen.

The fourth is a Peter August Nelson born 22 Nov 1885 in Sweden. In 1918 he worked for Chicago Rapid Transit."

     Robert Stover Nelson was born on 2 September 1919 at Minneapolis, Hennepin Co., MN.¹ He was the son of Dr. Oscar E. Nelson and Helen Moore Stover.¹ Robert Stover Nelson died on 26 September 2007 at California at age 88 Dates per SSDI.

     Rozella M. Nelson was born on 16 August 1918 at Kanawha Co., WV.¹ She was the daughter of John D. Nelson and Bertha Mae Pettry.¹ Rozella M. Nelson married Willard D. Warner, son of James F. Warner and Anna Emily House, Two sons, one daughter to the marriage. Rozella M. Nelson died on 17 August 2005 at King, Stokes Co., NC, at age 87.

     Sarah Eliza Nelson was born circa 1837 at Illinois.¹ She married George McClees on 11 June 1863 at Tazewell Co., IL.¹

     Tilda G. Nelson was born on 11 March 1908 at Wisconsin.¹ She died on 25 July 1973 at Madison, Dane Co., WI, at age 65. She was buried in July 1973 at Norway Grove Cemetery, De Forest, Dane Co., WI, Findagrave #104732866.

     Virginia Theresa Nelson was born on 9 December 1916. She was the daughter of Carl Nelson and Johanna Peterson. Virginia Theresa Nelson married Donald James Tallman, son of Adolphus Orestes Tallman and Jessie Mae Washburn, on 15 September 1941. Virginia Theresa Nelson died on 9 December 2006 at age 90. She was buried in December 2006 at Valley Cemetery, Drummond, Granite Co., MT.

     Walter G. Nelson was born in July 1877 at Philadelphia, Philadelphia Co., PA.¹ He was the son of Charles S. Nelson and Elizabeth Hagey Walton.¹ Walter G. Nelson married Fannie Rutter in 1900.¹ Walter G. Nelson lived at 111 States Avenue, Atlantic City, NJ.¹

     Willard Clifford Nelson was born on 24 August 1907 at Newark, Essex Co., NJ; son of William H. and Vivian A. (Anderson) Nelson. He married Anna May Ort, daughter of John Ort and Bessie Robinson Clark, on 17 September 1933 at Limestone, Cattaraugus Co., NY. Willard Clifford Nelson died on 14 September 2003 at Irving, Chautauqua Co., NY, at age 96

William C. Nelson age 96 a resident of TLC/HN-Lakeshore Nursing Home, formerly of Robertsdale, Alabama, Allegany, NY and Forestville, was the son of the late William H. Nelson and Vivian Anderson.

Mr. Nelson had at one time worked in the oil fields in Chipmunk, NY, then he owned & operated a dairy & beef farm in the Town of Villenova and worked as an electrician for the former Allegheny-Ludlum Steel Corp. of Dunkirk. He also enjoyed gardening.

Survivors include his wife Anna Mae (Ort) Nelson, whom he married on Sept. 17, 1933 in Limestone, NY, 2 daughters Mrs. Richard (Barbara J.) Wise and Mrs. Rodney (Beverly A.) Case. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, several step-grandchildren, step-great grandchildren and several nieces & nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by twin infant great granddaughters and a step-brother Ted Schuller.

     William Albert Nelson was born on 24 July 1919 at Turon, Reno Co., KS. He was the son of Albert William Nelson and Veva J. Dupee. William Albert Nelson died on 8 December 1989 at Humboldt Co., CA, at age 70.

     William H. Nelson was born on 27 May 1892 at Indiana.¹ He married Elsie Mae Huston on 29 June 1918 at Washington Co., IN. William H. Nelson lived on 7 April 1930 at Franklin Twp., Washington Co., IN, farming.¹ He died on 28 April 1984 at age 91. He was buried in 1984 at Beech Grove Cemetery, New Philadelphia, Washington Co., IN, Findagrave #80943730.

     Zacharias Winfield Santa Anna Nelson was born on 10 December 1847 at Maryland.¹ He married Martha Ellen Webb, daughter of David Webb and Elizabeth Foltz, on 19 May 1899 at Shenandoah Co., VA, License date.

     Patrick F. Nemarich was born on 14 March 1934. He began military service Korean War service. He married Frances Lou Vinson, daughter of Nellie Jewell Coley. Patrick F. Nemarich died on 22 May 2005 at age 71. He was buried in May 2005 at Mount Olivet Catholic Cemetery, Dickinson, Galveston Co., TX, Findagrave #73762856.

     Helen E. Nemes was born in 1918 at Marion, Marion Co., OH.¹ She was the daughter of James Emery Nemes and Mary Bikali.¹ Helen E. Nemes married Donald Luther Jones on 18 November 1939 at Marion Co., OH. Helen E. Nemes married Thomas C. Clark, son of Willard Graham Clark and Frances Wilma Wendell, on 30 September 1944 at Marion Co., OH. Helen E. Nemes died in 2014. She was buried in 2014 at Palm Desert Memorial, Las Vegas, Clark Co., NV, Findagrave #177339843.

     James Emery Nemes was born on 4 March 1886 at Hungary per WW I draft registration.¹ He married Mary Bikali circa 1913.¹ James Emery Nemes and Mary Bikali were divorced before April 1940; James was working for a Horvath family in Stark County, Ohio as of the 1940 census, marital status "D". James Emery Nemes died on 15 September 1948 at age 62.

     Edith E. Neptune was born on 20 June 1905 at Belmont Co., OH.¹ She was the daughter of Glenn W. Neptune and Mabel O. Graham.¹ Edith E. Neptune married Charles A. Gaab circa 1925, Two children, Mitzi Jean and Frederick C. Gaab.² Edith E. Neptune died on 18 May 1983 at Hollywood, Broward Co., FL, at age 77.

     Glenn W. Neptune was born on 30 June 1882 at Somerset, Belmont Co., OH.¹ He married Mabel O. Graham, daughter of Robert Graham, on 17 November 1904 at Belmont Co., OH. Glenn W. Neptune lived on 15 April 1910 at 216 Main Street, Barnesville, Belmont Co., OH, laborer, car factory.¹ He died on 11 July 1911 at Barnesville, Belmont Co., OH, at age 29.

     Gwendolyn Arlene Nereim was born on 11 October 1924 at Roland, Story Co., IA. She married Herbert Bruce Fausch. Gwendolyn Arlene Nereim died on 1 October 1992 at Des Moines General Hospital, Des Moines, Polk Co., IA, at age 67.      Alberta Josephine Nesbitt was born on 27 September 1903 at Scranton, Greene Co., IA. She was the daughter of Homer Eugene Nesbitt and Clara Belle Taylor. Alberta Josephine Nesbitt married Ernest Harrison Gordon, son of John A. Gordon and Clarissa Shepherd, on 23 April 1924 at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma Co., OK. Alberta Josephine Nesbitt died on 11 April 1985 at Midwest City, Oklahoma Co., OK, at age 81. She was buried in April 1985 at Sunny Lane Cemetery, Del City, Oklahoma Co., OK.

     Alice Elizabeth Nesbitt was born on 11 April 1900 at Council Bluffs, Pottawattamie Co., IA. She was the daughter of Homer Eugene Nesbitt and Clara Belle Taylor. Alice Elizabeth Nesbitt married Virgil Reed Hinkle. Alice Elizabeth Nesbitt died on 4 June 1995 at age 95.
