DEATH CLAIMS SAMUEL NIXON

Samuel Nixon, retired Jefferson county farmer, passed away about 7:35 p.m. last night at a hospital in Mt. Pleasant. He had been in failing health the past several years and seriously ill for several weeks.

The body is at the Hoskins funeral home where last rites are pending.

Samuel Nixon was born August 23, 1885, in Bonaparte, the son of the late Alonzo and Alice Klise Nixon. He had been a farmer all his life, and had worked for several farmers in Jefferson county before his health caused him to retire.

In recent years, since his retirement, Nixon had lived at the Bonn hotel until he became seriously ill.

He is survived by one sister, Nettie Nixon, who resides at Stockport, and six brothers: Ferd and Bert, Boise, Idaho; Orlie who lives at Keosauqua; Rex of Bonaparte and Lloyd and Verrn of Fairfield.

He was buried in January 1950 at Evergreen Cemetery, Fairfield, Jefferson Co., IA, Findagrave #128257659, no headstone.
