Funeral services for John H. Roche, 73, of Clarksville, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Seabrook Funeral Home, New Albany, with burial in Graceland Memorial Park. He died Friday and Jewish Hospital, Louisville.
He was formerly of New Albany, a retired fire chief of the New Albany Fire Department for 27 years, retired from Indiana Arson Department in Indianapolis, and a member of St. Mark's United Church of Christ and Pathagoras Masonic Lodge 335.
Survivors include his wife, the former Hazel Sheets; three sons, Gerald Roche of Lighthouse Point, Fla., Keith Roche of Lilburn, Georgia and Stewart Roche, Clarksville; one (the rest is missing.)

He was buried in October 1985 at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park Cemetery, New Albany, Floyd Co., IN.

Lena Belle Rockefeller

     Lena Belle Rockefeller was born on 14 August 1871 at Vernon Prairie, Van Buren Co., IA. She married George Bruce McComb on 29 May 1891. Lena Belle Rockefeller died on 24 April 1938 at Bonaparte, Van Buren Co., IA, at age 66 Obituary (Findagrave.com):

Funeral services for Mrs. George B. McComb were held Wednesday afternoon at Harrisburg church with interment in Vale cemetery.

Rev. Charles L. Ellis of Moravia, Iowa, and Rev. L. E. Winfrey, the local pastor, were the ministers.

Mrs. McComb passed away early Sunday morning, her death being caused by paralysis. She had seemed improved and her daughter, Mrs. Marie Lingenfelter of Red Bluff, Calif., and her sister, Mrs. Ed Mankin of Brookpark, Minn., who had been called to [unreadable] couple of weeks ago, had started home last Friday.

Surviving are her husband, Geo. B. McComb, and four children, Mrs. Marie Lingenfelter of Red Bluff, Calif., R. Bruce McComb of Alexandria, Minn., Harold McComb of Burlington, and Mrs. Helen White of Bonaparte.

Mrs. McComb was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. DeWitt Rockefellow, former residents of Bonaparte, and is also survived by three sisters, Mrs. N. V. Lowe of Bonaparte, Mrs. Ed Mankin of Brookpark, Minn., and Mrs. Alice McCay of Kalamazoo, Michigan.

She was buried in April 1938 at Vale Cemetery, Bonaparte, Van Buren Co., IA, Findagrave #11816249.
