     Note: Other research by Edna Skoog ( ednaskoog@msn.com) shows Samuel's second wife to be Ann Chapeler instead of Ann Philips. Ann remarried 4 years after the death of Samuel to Joseph Kenny. In courthouse proceedings, the executors of Samuel's estate recorded payments to Joseph Kenny for "boarding of children". Samuel and Margaret Evalina (from Samuel's first marriage) were sent to live with Michael and Mary Coyle. Will Book #2 WInchester Virginia... cash to Michael and Mary Coyle in behalf of Samuel and Evalina.
(Presumably the parents of Samuel's first wife Catherine Coyle, or otherwise closely related). Ann Phillips married Samuel Wendel, son of Samuel Wendel and Margaret Becker, circa 1813 at Frederick Co. (probably), VA. Ann Phillips died before 7 August 1889.

     Annie M. Phillips was born on 26 May 1887.¹ She was the daughter of Lewis A. Phillips and Mary L. Wagner.¹ Annie M. Phillips died before 1926.¹

     Bert Phillips was born in 1871 at Iowa.¹
Note: Adopted son of Daniel and Mary Phillips. 1880 census, Hancock County, Iowa, shows the birth states of his parents, indicating his father was also born in Vermont, same as Daniel Phillips -- possibly Bert's father was Daniel's brother.¹ He married Margaret Aitchison, daughter of John Robert Aitchison and Sarah Elizabeth Windell, on 26 August 1892 at Hancock Co., IA.¹ Bert Phillips died before 19 April 1910 at Hancock Co. (probably), IA.

     Bertha Mae Phillips was born on 17 February 1896 at Hancock Co. (probably), IA.¹ She was the daughter of Bert Phillips and Margaret Aitchison.¹ Bertha Mae Phillips married Roy J. Wooldridge on 10 July 1911. Bertha Mae Phillips died on 29 January 1978 at age 81.

     Bessie Phillips was born in October 1891 at Carroll Co., IL.¹ She was the daughter of Joseph A. Phillips and Mary Elizabeth Haynes.¹

     Bessie P. V. Phillips married Hayes S. Mullendore, son of Emery Alvin Mullendore and Minnie V. Wyand.¹ Bessie P. V. Phillips was born on 13 January 1899.¹

     Catherine Smith Phillips was born on 15 September 1770 at York Co., PA. She married Jacob Fetter. Catherine Smith Phillips died on 6 July 1813 at Carlisle, Cumberland Co., PA, at age 42.

     Cecil Marion Phillips was born on 2 March 1887 at Wayne Co., IA. He was the son of Thomas Jefferson Phillips Jr. and Martha Emmaline Hayworth. Cecil Marion Phillips married Loala Kint, daughter of Robert Kint and Sarah Ockerman, on 5 August 1914 at Corydon, Wayne Co., IA. Cecil Marion Phillips died on 1 January 1961 at Wayne Co., IA, at age 73. He was buried in January 1961 at Allerton Cemetery, Allerton, Wayne Co., IA.

     Occupation: Electrical Engineer at Carteret, Union Co., NJ.¹ Charles A. Phillips married Lillian Messinger, daughter of Allen Messinger and Annie Guth, on 6 June 1907.¹

     Charles J. Phillips was born on 21 April 1885 at Seattle, King Co., WA.¹ He was the son of James W. Phillips and Rosannah Rogers.¹ Charles J. Phillips married Ferne Healey, daughter of Rev. Sullivan Scott Healey and Ida May Windle, on 14 February 1912 at Pierce Co., WA. Occupation: Civil Engineer in January 1920 at Puyallup, Pierce Co., WA.² Charles J. Phillips died on 30 April 1962 at age 77.

     Charles L. Phillips was born on 24 October 1807 at Sussex Co., NJ.¹ He was the son of James Phillips and Ann Charity Snook.¹ Charles L. Phillips married Sarah A. (?).¹ Charles L. Phillips lived in August 1850 at Frankford Twp., Sussex Co., NJ.¹ He died on 28 May 1874 at age 66.

     Christopher Cosgrove Phillips married Susannah Rebecca Nicoll.

     Daniel Gipson Phillips was born on 4 June 1928 at Dunns Station, Washington Co., PA. He was the son of James Alexander Phillips and Helen Ruth Lightner. Daniel Gipson Phillips began military service on 31 January 1952 Korean War service, U.S. Army, Cpl., enlisted, discharged 30 JAN 1954. Occupation: Postmaster on 1 June 1967 at Prosperity, Washington Co., PA. He died on 16 March 1996 at age 67. He was buried in March 1996 at Prosperity Cemetery, Prosperity, Washington Co., PA, Findagrave #161362129.

     Donald C. Phillips was born circa 1922 at Puyallup, Pierce Co., WA.^1,2 He was the son of Charles J. Phillips and Ferne Healey.¹ Donald C. Phillips began military service on 29 July 1944 at Seattle, King Co., WA, WW II service, U.S. Army, enlisted.

     Dwight Marvin Phillips was born on 14 January 1923 at Gowrie, Webster Co., IA. He married Charlotte Minerva Green, daughter of Charles Edward Green and Birdie Grace Hackett, on 12 October 1942 at Cook Co., IL. Dwight Marvin Phillips died on 5 October 1999 at Harcourt, Webster Co., IA, at age 76.

     Earl Phillips was born on 1 November 1891 at Dayton, WA. He was the son of William Thomas Grant Phillips and Effie Evelyn Sheerer. Earl Phillips married Gladys June Schnebly, daughter of Joseph Rench Schnebly and Donna I. Stringer, on 11 March 1914 at Pomeroy, Garfield Co., WA. Earl Phillips lived on 15 April 1930 at Endicott Precinct, Whitman Co., WA, farming.¹ He lived on 13 April 1940 at Endicott Precinct, Whitman Co., WA, farming.² He died on 30 April 1976 at Colfax, Whitman Co., WA, at age 84.

     Earnest Wayne Phillips was born on 8 February 1924 at Anabel, Macon Co., MO; son of Everett C. and Ollie Ferne (Hill) Phillips. He married Ada Belle Rice, daughter of Harold Malcolm Rice and Lenna Pearl Windle, on 15 April 1948. Earnest Wayne Phillips died on 12 June 2018 at Wichita, Sedgwick Co., KS, at age 94.

     Edgar Lewis Phillips was born on 27 July 1890 at Wayne Co., IA. He was the son of Thomas Jefferson Phillips Jr. and Martha Emmaline Hayworth. Edgar Lewis Phillips married Clora May Bettis, daughter of Charles Elza Bettis and Carlena Caroline Couchman, on 13 January 1914 at Corydon, Wayne Co., IA. Occupation: Trucker, long and short haul in 1940. Edgar Lewis Phillips died on 26 May 1962 at Iowa City, Johnson Co., IA, at age 71.

     Eliza Jane Phillips was born on 9 February 1844 at Baltimore, MD.¹ She was the daughter of Christopher Cosgrove Phillips and Susannah Rebecca Nicoll. Eliza Jane Phillips married William Charles Roberts, son of William Roberts and Sophia E. Rigney, on 22 December 1863 at Baltimore, MD, eight children born, three living as of 1900 census. Eliza Jane Phillips died after 1920.

     Elizabeth Phillips married William Thornton.

     Elizabeth Phillips married Irvin Brower, son of Samuel H. Brower and Lavinia Urner, in 1870.¹

     Elizabeth A. Phillips was born circa 1911 at California.¹ She was the daughter of Horace Pease Phillips and Mary May Thomas.¹

Elizabeth Belle Phillips died on 26 July 1926 at Morriis Twp., Greene Co., PA. She was buried in July 1926 at Prosperity Cemetery, Prosperity, Washington Co., PA, per death certificate.

     Ella M. Phillips was born on 6 November 1881.¹ She was the daughter of Lewis A. Phillips and Mary L. Wagner.¹ Ella M. Phillips died before 1926.¹

     Fay Sarah Phillips was born on 30 August 1895 at Powersville, Putnam Co., MO. She was the daughter of Thomas Jefferson Phillips Jr. and Martha Emmaline Hayworth. Fay Sarah Phillips married Walter Edward Hook on 25 November 1915 at Des Moines, Polk Co., IA. Fay Sarah Phillips died on 11 December 1986 at Des Moines, Polk Co., IA, at age 91.
