     Emma Elnora Platt was born on 16 May 1862 at Ohio 1900 census shows 1863, however 1880 census lists her as 18 years old and her brother George was already 17, so it must have been 1862.¹ She married Alonzo Martin Taylor on 5 January 1889 at Indiana, license date. Mrs. Elizabeth Pletcher King, wife of Samuel C. King, died at their home, near McCracken, this county, April 10, aged 71 years, of infirmities incident to advanced years. Mrs. King was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Pletcher, deceased, and was highly esteemed. She united with the Brethren Church when a young woman and was an excellent Christian woman. Besides her husband she is survived by the following children; David, of Video; Scott and Thomas King, of Murraysville, Pa; Joseph King, Mrs. James Wendell and Mrs. Nora Whipkey, of McCracken; Mrs. Albert Hughes and Dempsey King, of Cameron, W. Va. Two brothers and one sister, William Pletcher, of Clarksburg, W. Va; Uriah Pletcher, of Cameron, W. Va., and Mrs. Sarah Campbell, of Marysville, Ohio. The funeral was held on Thursday in the Sugar Grove church, conducted by the Rev. W. T. Hilbert, Rev. N. M. Anderson and Rev. J. M. Murray. Interment in the Sugar Grove Cemetery.

Mrs. Maryetta Payne, wife of Ross Payne, died Monday afternoon 1:20 o'clock, August 22, at their home in Jeffersonville, Ind., after several weeks illness.
Mrs. Payne was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John R. Plott of this county. She was 39 years of age and leaves beside her husband seven children: Jacob, LsFrantz, Mabel, Eva, Hazel, Ross Irvin, and Paul Everett. The last named are twins, seven weeks old. The oldest child is fifteen.
The body arrived here today (Wednesday) and was taken to Blue River for burial. Funeral services were conducted 10 o'clock this morning by Rev. W. D. Burns at the Blue River Baptist church. Interment in adjoining cemetery.
