Robert Henry Seeger was born Sept. 29, 1926, in Anamosa, Iowa, the son of Charles and Grace Grassfield Seeger. Charles attended Morley Community Schools, graduating with the class of 1926. He was employed at Iowa Manufacturing in Cedar Rapids for over 50 years as a welder. Bob also farmed the family farm near Morley.

He was a member of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers. When he worked at Iowa Manufacturing, Howard Hall brought him to the Brucemore Estate, where he constructed and welded the cage for the lion kept by the Hall family.

Bob married M. Lucille Daub Yarrington on Oct. 7, 1960, at the Little Brown Church, Nashua. She preceded him in death in October 2000.

In retirement, Bob's farm and his grandchildren were his passion, along with the Cubs. He rode his bicycle two miles every day until last year. He enjoyed playing cards, especially poker, and going for a drive around the countryside.
He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; two brothers, Donald and Charles; and three sisters, Ardis Seeger, Janet Putman and Eloise Whipple.

He was buried in April 2015 at Center Chapel (Green) Cemetery, Rome Twp., Jones Co., IA, Findagrave #144476331.

Walter was born June 7, 1917, in Benton County to Ernest and Martha Hoover Seeman. He married Edna Happel on June 29, 1979, in Cedar Rapids. He was a mechanic at Collins Radio for 37 years, retiring in 1979. He was a member of King of Kings Lutheran Church and Eagles Club.
