     Kathryn Louise Baynes was born on 3 August 1921 at Indiana. She was the daughter of Fred Beezon Baynes and Leafa Murl Payne. Kathryn Louise Baynes married James Russell Lewis, son of Homer Lewis and Ethel May Chastain. Kathryn Louise Baynes died on 22 May 1987 at age 65. She was buried in May 1987 at Crown Hill Cemetery, Salem, Washington Co., IN.

     Lewis J. Baynes married Adaline Stanley on 17 May 1877 at Washington Co., IN.

     Paul Leon Baynes was born on 13 January 1925 at Indiana. He was the son of Fred Beezon Baynes and Leafa Murl Payne. Paul Leon Baynes began military service on 13 September 1943 WW II, U.S. Army, enlisted Louisville, Kentucky. He died on 21 August 2003 at Marion Co. (probably), IN, at age 78 Dates per SSDI, last residence Indianapolis.
Note: There is a California Marriage Record for a Paul L. Baynes (b. ~1925) to Dorothy I. Helander (b. ~1931) on 14 Mar 1964 in Los Angeles County, California. Also, living with our Paul Leon Baynes in Indianapolis, Marion County, Indiana in 1995 was an Eric P. Baynes (B. 15 Dec 1968) and Christine A. Baynes (b. 3 Sep 1969).

     Plura Bays was born in August 1886 at Arkansas (or Mississippi).^1,2 She was the daughter of Zachariah B. Bays.¹ Plura Bays married Thomas Herbert Rea, son of Noble R. Rea and Sarah Cordelia Newell, on 21 November 1909 at Faulkner Co., AR. Plura Bays died on 16 December 1928 at Faulkner Co., AR, at age 42. She was buried in December 1928 at Mt. Vernon Cemetery, Mt. Vernon, Faulkner Co., AR, Find A Grave Memorial# 106938394.
Note: Online genealogies (ancestry.com and findagrave.com) show a birth year of 1881, which is also the date on her headstone. However her age on the 1910 census was 23 and on the 1920 census was 31, indicating a much later birth year. Zachariah Bays' surname was badly written on the 1900 census and appears to be "Boiz", however he and four daughters were listed in Mt. Vernon Twp., p.10B, lines 84 - 88. The daughter listed as "Flora W." was undoubtedly Plura, as there was no daughter born in 1881, but rather Lena in 1879 and Alice in 1882. This Zachariah Bays appears to be the same individual as listed at Beat 3, Washington County, Alabama in 1880, with wife Harriette and a granddaughter. Daughter Lena who in 1900 was listed as born in 1879 is not shown on the 1880 census with Zachariah, and Harriette was already 56 years of age in 1880. One supposes that Harriette passed and Zachariah remarried about 1885 to a woman who already had daughter Lena and possibly Alice, and together they had Plura and Hannah as listed in 1900. Numerous public member trees on ancestry.com show Zachariah Bays and some of his daughters but none of the information about their alleged mothers can be verified and much can be easily disproven.      William Rufus Bays was also known as "Rufus". He was born on 18 May 1915 at Artemus, Knox Co., KY. He married Ruth Broughton on 17 July 1954 at Knox Co., KY. William Rufus Bays died on 19 November 2010 at Artemus, Knox Co., KY, at age 95

Mr. William Rufus Bays, 95, of Artemus, passed away Friday afternoon, November 19, 2010 in the Knox County Hospital. He was a son of the late Green Berry and Sarah Matilda Partin Bays born on May 18, 1915 in Knox County.

Mr. Bays was a former schoolteacher with the Knox County School System and a member of the Coalport Baptist Church. He was a Kentucky Colonel and enjoyed farming. He was a former secretary/treasurer and served 29 years as a director of the Knox County Farm Bureau and 22 years as a supervisor of the Knox County Soil Conservation District.

On July 17, 1954 he united in marriage with Ruth Broughton in Knox County and to this union a son was born.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth, on April 17, 2008 and four sisters, Elsie Bray, Roberta Bain, Lavinna Green and Amy West.

He was buried in November 2010 at Sowders Family Cemetery, Artemus, Knox Co., KY, Findagrave #65744426.

     Zachariah B. Bays was born in December 1832 at Georgia.¹ He began military service on 11 May 1862 Co. "G", 60th Alabama Infantry, CSA, enlisted China Grove, Alabama, per military headstone application signed by his daughter Alice in 1937. He died on 4 December 1904 at Faulkner Co., AR. He was buried in December 1904 at Hawthicket Cemetery, Enola, Faulkner Co., AR, Find A Grave Memorial# 67457594.

     Laura Viola Baysinger was born on 14 January 1861 at Illinois.¹ She married Walter Lyman Jillson circa 1886.¹ Laura Viola Baysinger died on 3 September 1944 at Stuart, Holt Co., NE, at age 83. She died on 11 December 1995 at Waterloo, Black Hawk Co., IA, at age 89.

     Martin Beach was born on 4 July 1932 at O'Brien, Suwannee Co., FL. He was the son of Willie D. Beach and Bertie Kirby.¹ Martin Beach married Virginia Hottel Heishman, daughter of Oliver James Heishman and Ethel Lorence Hottel, on 3 October 1958 at Gainesville, Alachua Co., FL. Martin Beach died on 29 June 2002 at Gainesville, Alachua Co., FL, at age 69.

     Naomi Beach was born circa 1900 at Ohio.¹ She married Stephen Daniel Brogan on 1 July 1922 at Lucas Co., OH.¹
Note: Naomi Beach, daughter of Edward and Josephine (Schultz) Beach, married at least four times. First marriage was to Dewey Kikendall on 31 AUG 1916 in Monroe County, MI. Second was to Charles M. Jones on 16 SEP 1918 in Lucas County, OH. Frank D. Brogan Sr. was her third husband, whom she married on 1 JUL 1922, in Lucas County. That marriage lasted until about 1946. Her fourth husband was Delbert Nye, whom she married on 15 MAR 1947, in Lucas County. No further record of her has been found. DLB 2018.

     Robert Dale Beach was born on 24 April 1909 at Mason City, Cerro Gordo Co., IA.¹ He was the son of William Everett Beach and Mabel Augusta Turner.¹ Robert Dale Beach married Myrtle A. Niedert on 29 June 1935 at Mason City, Cerro Gordo Co., IA. Robert Dale Beach died in July 1971 at Iowa City, Johnson Co., IA, at age 62.

     Roxie Cora Beach was born on 15 December 1888 at Shelby Co., MO. She married Forrest Adelbert Dale on 24 December 1911. Roxie Cora Beach died in 1963 at Iowa.

     Arthur Francis Beachler was born on 13 September 1886 at Knox Co., IL.¹ He was the son of Francis Erwin Beachler and Dora Fuller. Arthur Francis Beachler began military service WW I service, U.S. Army. He married Alice Mildred Walker, daughter of James Edward Walker and Clara Celestin Hardacker, on 14 February 1920 at Monroe Co., AR. Arthur Francis Beachler lived on 15 April 1940 at Roc Roe Twp., Monroe Co., AR, farming.² He died on 17 April 1976 at age 89.      Dale G. Beachler was born on 20 April 1924 at Chadwick, Christian Co., MO.¹ He was the son of George Erwin Beachler and Dessa Barbara Gregg.¹ Dale G. Beachler began military service on 15 December 1942 WW II service, enlisted, U.S. Navy, S2C. Cause of death: Hodgkins Disease. He died on 4 January 1959 at Springfield, Greene Co., MO, at age 34

Dale G. Beachler, 34, of 2055 North Main, a mailing room employee of Springfield Newspapers, Inc., died at 7:50 p.m. Sunday at St. John's Hospital. He had been in failing health several months. Mr. Beachler, a member of Johnson and Dale Church of Christ, was born near Chadwick but lived in and near Springfield almost all of his life. Mr. Beachler was a Navy veteran of World War II. He is survived by his wife, Joan; a son, Keith Joe; and two daughters, Kathy Fay and Karen Kay, all of the home; his mother, Mrs. Dessie Beachler, 2249 North Missouri; three brothers, Harold, 1117 West Meadowmere, Wynn, 2249 North Missouri, and Ray of Gardena, Calif; and a sister, Miss Faye Beachler, 2249 North Missouri.
