     John C. Reed was born on 21 February 1864 at Tazewell Co., IL.¹ He was the son of Robert Burns Reed and Rachel L. Summers.¹ John C. Reed married Loretta V. Clem, daughter of Jacob Clem and Martha Ann Fields, circa 1903. John C. Reed lived in April 1910 at Miller Twp., Douglas Co., MO, Farming.² He died on 7 February 1937 at Reger, Sullivan Co., MO, at age 72. He was buried in February 1937 at Fields Ceemtery, Reger, Sullivan Co., MO, Findagrave #65645569.

     Occupation: Attended school at Marcersburg, Pa., and after the removal of his parents to Illinois, attended school at Empire; entered Carthage (Ill.) College in 1877, graduate in 1881, after which he taught school for several years in Illinois and Iowa. His theological seminary course was received at Wittenberg Seminary, General Synod Lutheran, Springfield, O., where he graduated in 1891. First pastorate was at Dongola, Ill., other charges were at Oregon, Ill., Evanston, Ill., then was a foreign missionary for one year (1908) in Liberia, Africa, where his health broke down, caused by a slight sunstroke, and from which he never fully recovered. When able he served a pastorate at Berlin, N. Mex., then at Riverside, Calif., as a supply and for one year at hsi old home at Emerson, Ill; was a supply pastor at several vacant pulpits in central Illinois. His next regular pastorate was at Salinas, Calif; next at Phoenix, Ariz. His recent pastorate began at Laurel, Miss., Sept. 1, 1921, and closed June 15, 1925. He is the author of "That Blessed Hope," published 1923.¹ Rev. John K. Reed was born on 1 March 1856 at near Chambersburg, Franklin Co., PA.¹ He was the son of Benjamin Franklin Reed and Elizabeth Keefer.¹ Rev. John K. Reed was graduated in 1891 at Wittenberg Seminary, Springfield, Clark Co., OH.¹ He lived in 1926 at Burt, Kossuth Co., IA.¹

     John William Reed married Thelma Louise Munsinger, daughter of David Chester Munsinger and Fannie Elnora Gatlin, on 24 December 1945 at Harris Co., TX; ceremony by Rev. W. A. Grounds. John William Reed died in 1987 at California.

     Josephine Marie Reed was born on 22 June 1915 at Canton, Stark Co., OH.¹ She was the daughter of Walter Jacob Reed and Cordelia Mae McCammon.

     Kathleen Reed was born on 21 March 1913 at Coolidge, Limestone Co., TX; daughter of Clyde Vernon and Lena Lucille (Mayes) Reed. She married Col. USA Marion Eugene Whitten, son of Robert Marion Whitten and Annie Louise Giesler, on 12 March 1932 at Durant, Bryan Co., OK; ceremony by Forrest E. Dudly, Pator, First Methodist Church of Durant. Eugene remarried to Neva L. Frost on 21 OCT 1989, Harris County, TX. Kathleen Reed died on 3 January 1983 at Arlington, Arlington Co., VA, at age 69. She was buried in January 1983 at Armour Cemetery, Coolidge, Limestone Co., TX, Findagrave #186906307.
