Man killed on I-70 as car, truck collide

A Lewisburg man was killed late Thursday when the car he was driving westbound on Interstate 70 hit the back of a truck carrying a load of coal.

Richard A. Sizemore, 32, of 4504 No. Market-Banta Road, was pronounced dead at the scene of the 11:35 p.m. accident, according to an investigator for the Montgomery County coroner's office.

Sizemore was alone when the accident occurred about a half-mile west of Ohio 48, the Ohio Highway Patrol said. The truck driver was not injured.

He was buried in September 1986 at Royal Oak Memory Gardens, Brookville, Montgomery Co., OH.

Roscoe Wilbert Sizemore

     William Sizemore was also known as "Dobb".2 He was born in December 1851 at Kentucky Online genealogies show 1849, but he was not listed in Wilkerson Sizemore's family in the 1850 census.1 He was the son of Wilkerson Sizemore and Mahala Bowling.3 William Sizemore married Elizabeth Muncy, daughter of Joshua Muncy and Lucinda Begley, circa 1875, Ten children born to the marriage, all living as of 1900 census. Eleven children born, nine living as of 1910 census.1,2

William Sizemore lived on 6 January 1920 at Bull Creek Precinct, Leslie Co., KY. He died on 14 March 1924 at Perry Co., KY, at age 72. He was buried in March 1924 at Combs Family Cemetery, Hazard, Perry Co., KY.
