In addition, he leaves behind 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Other surviving family members including the following: brother, Richard Craft and wife, Vida, of Ore City, Texas; sister, Louise Hill of Tyler, Texas; sister, Doris Young of Lubbock, Texas; sister, Peggy Joyce Winkle of Lake Tawakoni, Texas, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Born March 7, 1922, Mrs. Walker was an avid equestrienne, having been inducted into the Montclair Kimberley Academy Athletics Hall of Fame in 2002 for her accomplishments as a rider. She rode in the National Horse Show at New York's Madison Square Garden, qualifying for the National Equitation Champ;ionship five years running, and also competed in the NJHA Adult Equitation Championship. She was also a respected horse show judge. Mrs. Walker was the commandant for many years of the Girls Mounted Troup, an organization that offered horsemanship training for hundreds of girls.
Mrs. Walker is predeceased by her husband, John Y. G. Walker Jr., and her daughter, Caryl Walker Griesenbeck. She is survived by her daughter, Maryl W. Lewis; her son, John Y. G. Walker III, and his wife Kim B. Walker; her granddaughters, Dana Griesenbeck Howard (Robert) and Rebecca Walker Stern (Cameron); her grandson, John Y. G. Walker IV; and great-grandchildren, Emma Hazel Howard, Lucy Caryl Howard, James Henry Howard and Imogen Rose Stern.
Services will be held today, Thursday, June 2, at 4 p.m. at the Presbyterian Church of Upper Montclair, 53 Norwood Ave. Arrangements are by the Keri Memorial Funeral Home of Lincoln Park.
