Sudden Death of Mrs. O. S. Price
The announcement on Tuesday morning that Mrs. Overton S. Price had died very suddenly carried with it a terrible shock into many homes, and as she had not been known to be sick the tidings fell all the heavier on her many friends.
Mrs. Price had been complaining on Monday of a severe headache, and some time during the afternoon lay down in the same room with her little daughter who has been quite sick. About five o'clock, Dr. Glenn, who has been the attendant physician during the child's
sickness, called in to see his patient and, noticing Mrs. Price, became alarmed at her symptoms, which indicated apoplexy.
Her husband was sent for, but she had already become unconscious and never rallied. She lingered in this state until half-past three when she quietly passed away.
Mrs. Price was the daughter of Charles G. and Hattie Fallis Rodgers, and was born in Hillsboro, November 15th, 1858. When she was three years old her parents removed to Covington, Kentucky where her childhood was passed, but she returned to Hillsboro to complete her education at the Highland Institute, of which Mrs. Grand-Girard was then principal.
She was married on October 10th, 1878, to Overton S. Price. One little daughter, aged ten years, survives her. The funeral services
will be held from the residence on Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock.
