He died on 20 August 1871 at Springfield, Clark Co., OH, at age 71 per headstone. Note: Studied medicine with Dr. Rankin of Shippensburg. After graduating, practiced 1828 - 29 at New Hope, Bucks Co., PA then relocated to Cumberland Co. and was associated with Dr. Geddes at Newville. In 1832 accepted a partnership with Dr. G. S. B. Hempstead at Portsmouth, Scioto Co., OH and remained there until 1833 when he returned to Pennsylvania and married. In 1833 he relocated to Springfield, OH. Was a member and elder of First Presbyterian Church. Joined newly formed Second Presbyterian Church as trustee and deacon. Retired from medicine in 1870. In 1875 a slight paralysis was the beginning stage of a progressive disease that resulted in his death.

Dr. Robert Rodgers died on 14 February 1880 at Springfield, Clark Co., OH, at age 72.

     Robert Cochran Rodgers was born on 16 June 1852 at Pennsylvania.¹ He was the son of Rev. James Linn Rodgers and Hettie Burd Cochran. Robert Cochran Rodgers was graduated; Wittenberg College and Princeton University. Occupation: Admitted to the Ohio Bar, Columbus, 5 June 1877 on 5 June 1877. He married Emma N. White, daughter of Judge William White and Rachel Stout, on 30 December 1879. Robert C. Rodgers Succumbs After Illness of Two Days
Robert C. Rodgers, 67, one of the city's highly respected citizens, prominent attorney and churchman, died Saturday morning at 6 o'clock at his home 211 North Limestone street. His death was due to heart trouble induced by abdominal obstruction. He had been ill only since Thursday. Up until that time he had been in his usual good health.
He was a man universally liked and was connected with one of the city's oldest families. Mr. Rodgers possessed a kind and genial disposition and ever placed his time at the disposal of his friends, when he could lend them a helping hand.
He was born in Knox county, Pennsylvania, and when five years of age, came to this city with his parents. In Springfield he enjoyed the educational advantages offered, attending private schools and Wittenberg college. His father, Rev. James L. Rodgers, will be remembered as a well known pastor and educator.
Upon completion of his studies at Wittenberg college, he went to Princeton university, becoming a member of the class of 1875. He left college in his junior year and returned to Springfield in order to enter upon the study of law. This completed, he was admitted to the bar in 1877. Since that time he had been in continuous practice. At the time of his death, he occupied a place of prominence in his profession throughout Clark county.
Mr. Rodgers was married to Miss Emma White in 1879. She is the daughter of the late Judge William White. The wife, and two sons, William W. Rodgers, now in business in Buenos Aires, South America, and James Linn Rodgers, formerly of the United States navy, and now in business in New York city, survive him.
Mr. Rodgers was a member of the former Second Presbyterian church and retained his membership when that church merged with the First Presbyterian church, becoming the Covenant church. He also belonged to the Clark County Bar association.

Occupation: General Manager, American Seeding Machine Co., Springfield in 1905. Robert Sinclair Rodgers lived in 1905 at Springfield, Clark Co., OH. He lived in January 1920 at 830 Limestone Street, Springfield, Clark Co., OH.¹ He died on 3 October 1926 at Baltimore, MD, at age 52.      Sarah Elizabeth Rodgers was born on 9 May 1847. She was the daughter of Dr. Robert Rodgers and Effie Harrison.

     Stafford Rodgers was born on 29 October 1896 at Columbus, Franklin Co., OH. He was the son of Andrew Denny Rodgers Jr. and Mary Louise Price. Stafford Rodgers began military service on 29 August 1917 WW I service, enlisted in National Guard, Battery C, 36 Field Artillery, promoted PFC 12 SEP 1917, Corporal 19 SEP 1917. Defensive Sector, American Expeditionary Forces 28 JUN 1918 to 24 MAR 1919, discharged 10 APR 1919. He married Marjorie St. Clair Holland, daughter of William St. Clair Holland and Jane Anderson Browne. Stafford Rodgers died on 12 May 1977 at Orange Co., FL, at age 80.      Thomas Rodgers was the son of John Carr Rodgers and Eliza Brown.

     Thomas Rodgers was born on 21 May 1842 at Gallia Co., OH.¹ He was the son of John Alexander Rodgers and Christina McCormick.¹ Thomas Rodgers died on 5 November 1861 at Gallia Co., OH, at age 19.      Thomas Powell Rodgers was born on 7 December 1888 at Montgomery Co., MO.¹ He was the son of Jacob Riley Rodgers and Nancy Virginia Powell.¹ Thomas Powell Rodgers married Jennie James Smith on 20 December 1911. Thomas Powell Rodgers died on 9 February 1971 at age 82.¹

Thomas Scott Rodgers married Lavinia Frederica Grand-Girard, daughter of Emilius Felix Grand-Girard and Georgianna Herdman, on 5 May 1868 at Hillsboro, Highland Co., OH. Thomas Scott Rodgers died on 25 August 1914 at Fresno, Fresno Co., CA, at age 88. He was buried on 27 August 1914 at Mt. View Cemetery, Fresno, Fresno Co., CA.

     Timothy Allen Rodgers was born in July 1816 at West Hanover, Dauphin Co., PA. He was the son of Robert Rodgers and Isabella Carr. Timothy Allen Rodgers died on 15 October 1821 at West Hanover, Dauphin Co., PA, at age 5. He was buried in October 1821 at Hanover Churchyard, Dauphin Co., PA.

     Virginia Margaret Rodgers was born on 31 December 1922 at Missouri. She was the daughter of James Harvey Rodgers and Nellie May Alderson. Virginia Margaret Rodgers married Robert Willard Jones, son of James Willard Jones and Bessie Irene Hudson, two children to this marriage. Virginia Margaret Rodgers died on 22 December 2003 at age 80.

     Willard Russell Rodgers was born on 17 March 1908 at Columbia City, Whitley Co., IN.¹ He was the son of Joseph Rodgers and Bertha Belle Malotte.¹ Willard Russell Rodgers died on 10 November 1971 at South Bend, St. Joseph Co., IN, at age 63.      William Rodgers was born circa 1700 at Ireland. He lived circa 1740 at Dauphin Co., PA, immigrated (or was transported) from County Derry, Ireland according to family tradition. His name and age are also consistent with a William Rogers, b.1701 at Worcester, England, who was involuntarily transported together with his younger brother Benjamin (1 OCT 1711) to the American Colonies on the ship Caeser, about 1734. They first landed at Virginia, and William reportedly went north from there. English Convicts To America, Vol. 1, by Coldham, p.229.¹ He died in 1771 at West Hanover, Dauphin Co., PA. He was buried at Hanover Churchyard, Dauphin Co., PA.
