Barbara Swartz married Philip Wendell, son of Philip Wendel and Elizabeth Dellinger, on 22 May 1787 at Shenandoah Co., VA, Ceremony by Rev. Simon Harr.

Marriage record found in appendix of Wayland's "History of Shenandoah County", p.751. Barbara's surname was written "Black" (English translation of German "schwartz").

Barbara Swartz died before April 1844 at Batesville, Beaver Twp., Guernsey (now Noble) Co., OH.

Haners, daughter of Sandusky Haners and Sarah Dulin, on 16 May 1906 at Hardin Co., OH. Burton B. Swartz lived on 4 April 1930 at 223 Carrol Street, Kenton, Hardin Co., OH.2 He died on 23 October 1952 at age 70 Obituary (findagrave.com):

KENTON - Final rites for Burton B. Swartz, 70, who died Thursday from complications of diseases, will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Price funeral home with the Rev. H. E. Pfister officiating. Burial will be in Grove cemetery.

He was born in Forest May 30, 1882. In his early years, he was associated with the clothing business. Later he entered the automotive parts business. Subsequently he moved to Marion and Mansfield where he was associated with the tobacco industry until he retired.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. John Steiner, Kenton; two sons, Austin, Kenton, and Gordon, Toledo; a brother, C. R. Swartz, Kenton; two sisters, Mrs. Arnetta Frey, Spencer, Ind., and Mrs. Edna Lynne, Columbus, and two grandchildren. One sister, Daisy Swartz, preceded him in death.

     Carey R. Swartz was born on 7 December 1880 at Wyandot Co., OH.1 He was the son of Sylvester A. Swartz and Susanna Catharine Windle.1 Carey R. Swartz married Millie Winebrenner, daughter of Nicholas Winebrenner and Elizabeth J. Burdette, in 1903. Carey R. Swartz married Iva Winebrenner, daughter of Nicholas Winebrenner and Elizabeth J. Burdette, on 1 June 1931. Carey R. Swartz lived circa 1942 at 531 West Lima Street, Kenton, Hardin Co., OH; WW II draft registration. He died on 2 August 1963 at Kenton, Hardin Co., OH, at age 82 Obituary (findagrave.com):

KENTON - Carey R. Swartz, 82, of 531 W. Lima St., died Friday at 6:40 a.m. in his home. He had been ill 15 months.

He was born in Wyandot County Dec. 7, 1880, the son of Sylvester and Catherine (Windle) Swartz.

He was a member of the St. John United Church of Christ and the Trapshooting Association of America. He owned the Swartz Gun Shop and also worked as a carpenter.

In 1904 he married Millie Winebrenner. She died in 1905. On June 1, 1931, he married Iva Winebrenner.

Surviving are his wife, Iva, two sisters, Mrs. Nettie Fry of Spencer, Ind; and Mrs. Edna Lynn of Los Angeles, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Schindewolf-Steiner-Stevens Funeral Home with the Rev. C. Kent Chidester officiating. Burial will be in the Grove Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 p.m. today.
