Charles “Bud” E. Russell, 95, of Bronson passed away on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 at Teddy Bears & Angels AFC in Union City.

A memorial service will be held on Friday December 12, 2014 at 2:00 PM, at Batavia Cemetery in Batavia Township with Pastor Terry Siler officiating.

Charles was born April 25, 1919 in Albert Township to Charles J. and Mary E. (Gamble) Russell. He worked for LA Darling and then at the Coldwater Regional Center before retiring in 1984. Bud loved farming and working his horses. In his younger days, he enjoyed going square dancing.

Bud is survived by his longtime companion Erma Hoard of Bronson; sons Brian (Suzi) Hoard and Terry Hoard, all of Coldwater; his sister Betty Stoddard of St. Joseph; his grandchildren Makeya Hoard, Brelyn Hoard, Nicole (Jeremy) Miller, and Ashley Hoard, four great grandchildren, and his niece Charlene Taylor.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, two sisters, and his daughter-in-law Renae Hoard.

Memorials may be directed to the Bronson or Coldwater Food Pantries.
