Erma E. DeVault, 75, of Muncie, died Sunday, June 20, 2004, at Ball Memorial Hospital, in Muncie.
Born Feb. 10, 1929, in St. Paul, she was the daughter of Cecil W. and Lavon (Sink) Rutherford. She married Harry A. DeVault on Sept. 2, 1951, and he preceded her in death on April 17, 1999.
Survivors include one daughter, Karen Hoyt of Muncie; and two grandchildren, Ellen Powell and Matthew Hoyt, both of Muncie.
Mrs. DeVault lived in Muncie for two years. She previously lived in Mesa, Ariz., for 16 years.
She had been employed at Indiana Insurance, in Indianapolis, for 27 years. She retired in June of 1985 as an accounting supervisor.
Mrs. DeVault graduated in 1947 from St. Paul High School, in St. Paul.
She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, in St. Paul; and Order of Eastern Star, in Waldron.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, with an Eastern Star service at 8 p.m., at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m., Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. L.J. Poe officiating.
Burial will be in Paul Hill Cemetery, in St. Paul.

She was buried in June 2004 at Paul Hill Cemetery, St. Paul, Decatur Co., IN.

     John Morton Rutherford was born on 6 November 1862 at Ohio.¹ He married Mary C. O'Donnell. John Morton Rutherford died on 22 April 1912 at age 49. He was buried in April 1912 at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Columbus, Franklin Co., OH, Findagrave #76930183.

DeVille.¹ Anne Elizabeth Rutledge married William Gaston Adams, son of William Gaston Adams and Mary Moore Woolridge, on 7 August 1948 at Buncombe Co., NC. Anne Elizabeth Rutledge died on 31 October 1980 at Asheville, Buncombe Co., NC, at age 55. She was buried in November 1980 at Calvary Episcopal Church Cemetery, Fletcher, Henderson Co., NC, Findagrave #53258710.

     Charles Lafayette Rutledge was also known as "Lafe".
Note: Prior to his marriage to Tina, Lafe was married to Emma B. Stout. He was born on 15 December 1875 at Indiana. He was the son of William Rutledge and Lucy Wilson. Charles Lafayette Rutledge married Tina A. Jackson, daughter of Musetta May Jackson, between 1944 and 1952. Charles Lafayette Rutledge died on 9 September 1954 at age 78.

     Cora Bell Rutledge was born on 5 February 1884 at Kansas.¹ She was the daughter of Dudley Cooper Rutledge and Mary Ellen Howard.¹ Cora Bell Rutledge married Charles Sylvester Samples, son of Michael Samples and Elizabeth Anabelle Long. Cora Bell Rutledge died in March 1926 at age 42. She was buried in 1926 at Sherman City Cemetery, Sherman, Cherokee Co., KS, Findagrave #31562066.

     Curtis A. Rutledge married Fannie May Butt, daughter of Ambrose Ashton Butt and Laura Emma Henton, on 7 September 1902.
