Patsy is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. McCurry, who live in the Maryland Country Club section. Standing beside her at the alter will be Joseph J. Rutledge, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph A. Rutledge of Winfield avenue, Forest Park.
Descendant of Calhoun
Through her paternal grandmother, a Virginia Calhoun, the bride-elect is a descendant of John C. Calhoun, the American statesman, while through her mother she bears kinship to Michael Collins, martyred Irish statesman and soldier, who was associated with Arthur Griffith in creation of the Irish Free State.
The wedding will take place with a nuptial mass at 9 A.M. at St. Charles Catholic Church, Pikesville, and the Rev. Ambrose Beavans, the pastor, will conduct the services.
Miss Lillian Josephine McCurry, sister of the bride-elect will be maid-of-honor, and Miss May Grant flower girl. William P. Arledge, of Dallas, Texas, will serve as best man. The ushers will be Wade Franklin Rutledge, brother of the groom-to-be, and J. George Bobb.
The best man is the fiancé of a sister of Miss McCurry. A double wedding had been proposed, but it was said Patsy's mother protested she was losing her daughters via matrimony fast enough one at a time.
A wedding breakfast will be served at the home of the bride's parents after the ceremony. The couple then will leave on a trip to New York and Niagara Falls.
The bride-elect attended school at the Convent of the Visitation and at St. Thomas' School. She is a graduate of the latter.

Born in Asheville, she was one of the twin daughters of Frederick Reeves Rutledge and Ruth DeVille Rutledge (later Gilbert). She attended St. Genevieve of the Pines and Lee H. Edwards High School.
Ruth became a licensed real estate broker in 1968 and worked for four agencies in Asheville, although she spent most of her career as the owner/operator of Ruth Bailey Real Estate. She was a past member of the Asheville Board of Realtors, the North Carolina Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors.
Ruth was a life-long member of All Souls Episcopal Church, now the Cathedral of All Souls; a founding member and a past President of the Town and Country Garden Club; a past member of the Biltmore Forest Country Club; and a past President of her cluster association at Crowfields Condominiums. She loved the real estate business; the game of tennis; vacations at Pawleys Island, South Carolina; and national politics.
Survivors include her three sons, Doug (Mary Alice), Tom (Pam) and Derrick (Kari Schrader); four grandchildren: Jen Bailey, Harrison Bailey, Blake Bailey and Ryan Bailey; three step-grandsons: Will Carlson, Clayton Carlson and Matthew Robinson; a great-granddaughter: Aurora Bailey and several nieces and nephews. She was particularly close to her niece Mary Anne Warlick and husband, Paul W. "Kip" Warlick, Jr. and their children Anne-Elizabeth (Itai) and Billy (Amber).
She was predeceased by her parents; her twin sister Anne Rutledge Adams (William G. "Bill" Adams); and her brother, Frederick Reeves Rutledge, Jr. (Mary Ellen) of Columbia, South Carolina.
Visitation will be on Monday, August 6, 2018 from 5:00 o'clock p.m. to 7:00 o'clock p.m. at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian. A private graveside service will be held at Calvary Churchyard, Fletcher.

She loved the real estate business; the game of tennis; vacations at Pawleys Island, South Carolina; and national politics.
Survivors include her three sons, Doug (Mary Alice), Tom (Pam) and Derrick (Kari Schrader); four grandchildren: Jen Bailey, Harrison Bailey, Blake Bailey and Ryan Bailey; three step-grandsons: Will Carlson, Clayton Carlson and Matthew Robinson; a great-granddaughter: Aurora Bailey and several nieces and nephews. She was particularly close to her niece Mary Anne Warlick and husband, Paul W. "Kip" Warlick, Jr. and their children Anne-Elizabeth (Itai) and Billy (Amber).
She was predeceased by her parents; her twin sister Anne Rutledge Adams (William G. "Bill" Adams); and her brother, Frederick Reeves Rutledge, Jr. (Mary Ellen) of Columbia, South Carolina.
Visitation will be on Monday, August 6, 2018 from 5:00 o'clock p.m. to 7:00 o'clock p.m. at Groce Funeral Home at Lake Julian. A private graveside service will be held at Calvary Churchyard, Fletcher.
