Harry F. Semler

Harry Franklin (Dick) Semler, 75, of 40 Ohio St., Fairborn, was found dead at his home Friday morning. He had retired in 1960 as warehouse foreman after 36 years employment at Wright-Patterson AFB.

Mr. Semler was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ and was active in several Masonic groups.

Survivors include his widow, Leah; a son, Melvin Semler, of Fairborn; two sisters, Mrs. Effie Miller of Fairborn and Mrs. Edna Schildknecht of New Carlisle; a brother, John Semler of Enon and two grandchildren.

Services will be conducted Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at Burcham Funeral Home, Fairborn, with visitation there Monday, 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. Burial will be in Fairfield Cemetery.

He was a member of the church and of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Dayton. He had been married 58 years.

Herman Walter Semler

     Herman Walter Semler was born on 22 January 1893. He was the son of Charles Edward Semler and Sarah Margaret Gheen. Herman Walter Semler began military service WW I service, U.S. Army, Co. D, 301 Infantry Regiment. He married Callie Mae Axman, daughter of Joseph Axman and Ida Landis Axman, on 26 March 1921. Herman Walter Semler died on 2 March 1960 at Dayton, Montgomery Co., OH, at age 67. He was buried in March 1960 at Fairfield Cemetery, Fairborn, Greene Co., OH, Findagrave #76807739.
