Sellers married Flora Maude Price on 1 December 1885 at Fayette Co., OH. Charles L. Sellers lived on 12 June 1900 at London, Madison Co., OH, Dry goods merchant.² He died in 1945. He was buried in 1945 at Ashland Cemetery, Ashland, Ashland Co., OH, Findagrave #57982555.

     Charles Wilbur Sellers was born on 12 February 1888 at Columbus, Franklin Co., OH, WW I draft registration.¹ He was the son of Charles L. Sellers and Flora Maude Price.¹ Charles Wilbur Sellers lived on 12 June 1900 at London, Madison Co., OH.¹ He lived in 1917 at Cleveland, Cuyahoga Co., OH, WW I draft registration, indicating he was a member of the Ohio National Guard Training Corps, cavalry. He began military service on 14 May 1919 WW I service, Army. He married Lucille Jardine on 18 August 1921 at Manhattan, New York Co., NY. Charles Wilbur Sellers died on 21 January 1972 at age 83.

     Della Sellers was born in May 1868 at Licking Co., OH.¹ She married Robert Franklin Youst, son of William Youst and Sarah Catherine Larimore, circa 1890 at Licking Co., OH.¹ Della Sellers died at Magnetic Springs, Union Co., OH.

     Eliza Sellers was born in 1820 at Rockingham Co., VA. She married Abner Harrison, son of Zebulon A. Harrison and Mary Tallman, in 1841 at Rockingham Co., VA.

     Elizabeth Pauline Sellers was born on 22 March 1892 at Washington Court House, Fayette Co., OH.¹ She was the daughter of Charles L. Sellers and Flora Maude Price.¹
Note: Pauline obtained a U.S. passport in 1924 in support of a trip to British Isles, France, Italy, Austria, and Switzlerland. Occupation: Public school teacher in 1940 at Ashland, Ashland Co., OH. Elizabeth Pauline Sellers died in February 1983 at age 90.

     Frank D. Sellers was Lutheran.² He was born on 7 May 1873.² He was the son of J. S. Sellers and Eliza Dice.² Frank D. Sellers married Laura Ellen Keefer, daughter of Henry Denton Keefer and Mary Jane Musselman, on 19 November 1903.² Frank D. Sellers lived in 1926 at R.D. 4, Chambersburg, Franklin Co., PA.²

     Harry Keefer Sellers was born on 27 May 1906 at Chambersburg, Franklin Co., PA.¹ He was the son of Frank D. Sellers and Laura Ellen Keefer.¹

Walker.¹ Marjorie Ruth Sellers married Harold Holp, son of Homer Francis Holp and Edith Mae Pierson, on 14 December 1946, Indiana license date. Marjorie Ruth Sellers died on 3 October 1989 at age 62.      Mary C. Sellers was born on 22 March 1844 at Ohio. She married John Eli Locke. Mary C. Sellers died on 21 January 1911 at Dayton, Montgomery Co., OH, at age 66. She was buried in January 1911 at Roselawn Cemetery, Lewisburg, Preble Co., OH, Findegrave #24383686.

     Maude Sellers was born in December 1874 at Fayette Co., OH.^1,2 She was the daughter of Albert Sellers and Charity Kirkpatrick.¹ Maude Sellers married Elmer Kurtz Algire, son of Andrew Luther Algire and Mary Ann Fish, on 21 June 1899 at Springfield, Clark Co., OH; no children.² Maude Sellers died on 12 May 1956 at Springfield, Clark Co., OH, at age 81.

     Ruth Elizabeth Sellers was born on 18 February 1905 at Chambersburg, Franklin Co., PA.¹ She was the daughter of Frank D. Sellers and Laura Ellen Keefer.¹

     Vera Almeda Sellers was born on 12 February 1893 at Marcus, Cherokee Co., IA; daughter of Daniel Ephram and Altha Almeda (Dow) Sellers. She married Oliver James Gillogly, son of James W. Gillogly and Cora Matilda Price, on 4 January 1922 at Clinton Co., IA. Vera Almeda Sellers died on 21 December 1956 at Mokena, Will Co., IL, at age 63.

     Virgil D. Sellers was born in 1898 at Ohio.¹ He married Mary I. Walker.¹ Virgil D. Sellers died in 1961. He was buried in 1961 at Arlington Cemetery, Brookville, Montgomery Co., OH, Findagrave Memorial #75253919.

     Ward Lutz Sellers was born on 27 June 1899 at Springfield, Clark Co., OH.¹ He was the son of Jesse Louis Sellers and Emma Lutz.¹ Ward Lutz Sellers began military service on 12 September 1918 at Springfield, Clark Co., OH, Draft registration. He married Virginia B. (?) circa 1927.² Occupation: Deputy County Auditor in 1930 at Springfield, Clark Co., OH.²

     D. Sellman was born circa 1869 at Illinois. He was the son of Freeman P. Kirkendall and Medora D. Fell. D. Sellman was adopted circa 1870 at Illinois.

     Albert William Sellner was born on 29 May 1913 at Murdo, SD. He married Eleanor Olmstead, daughter of Edmund Walter Olmstead and Loretta Elmira Miller, on 4 August 1935 at Des Moines, Polk Co., IA. Albert William Sellner died on 6 June 1966 at Des Moines, Polk Co., IA, at age 53.

     Lawrence Eugene Sellner was born on 13 June 1936 at Des Moines, Polk Co., IA. He was the son of Albert William Sellner and Eleanor Olmstead. Lawrence Eugene Sellner died on 22 December 1981 at Des Moines, Polk Co., IA, at age 45.

     Wanda Jeanine Sellner was the daughter of Albert William Sellner and Eleanor Olmstead.

     Emma W. Sells was born on 28 June 1860. She was the daughter of Joseph Sells. Emma W. Sells married August Bert Höh, son of Valentin Höh and Margaretha Munzinger, circa 1908. Emma W. Sells died on 8 April 1925 at age 64.

     Grace C. Sells was born on 28 September 1918 at Washington Co., TN.¹ She was the daughter of William Emory Sells and Pearl Deborah Keefauver.¹ Grace C. Sells married George W. Jenkins, son of George Washington Jenkins and Bertie Hale. Grace C. Sells died on 7 October 2019 at Washington Co., TN, at age 101

Grace Sells Jenkins, age 101, of Gray, TN went to be with the Lord Monday, October 7, 2019 at NHC Healthcare. Grace was born in Washington County, TN, September 27, 1918, to the late Emory and Pearl Keefauver Sells.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 34 years, George W. Jenkins, a son, Rick Jenkins, two brothers, Russell P. Sells and John W. Sells, and a sister, Ruth Sells Hale.

Grace was a lifelong resident of the Gray community and had been an active member of Buffalo Ridge Baptist Church since 1935 where she was affectionately known as “Amazing Grace.”

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter and son-in-law, Jeanette and Steve Smith, of Gray; a sister, Evelyn Sells Ferguson, also of Gray; and a brother, Allen Sells and his wife, Betty, of Greeneville; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins, her loving church family and many friends and neighbors.

A celebration of Grace’s life will be held Friday, October 11, 2019, at 2:00 PM at Buffalo Ridge Baptist Church, 197 Suncrest Street, Gray, TN with Dr. John Stevens and Dr. Gene Lasley officiating. The family will greet friends from 12:00 pm until time of service. A graveside service will immediately follow at Sulphur Springs Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Bob Edwards, Mark Larkey, Jerry Lovegrove, Bert Martin, Larry Russell and Larry Trent. Honorary pallbearers will be nephews, great nephews and cousins.

     John B. Sells was also known as "Bud". He was born in March 1863 at Tennessee per 1900 census, or 27 MAR 1864 per headstone.¹ He married Mary Elizabeth Owens circa 1887.¹ John B. Sells lived on 30 June 1900 at Civil District 11, Washington Co., TN, farming.¹ He died on 17 February 1941 at age 77. He was buried in February 1941 at Highland Church of Christ Cemetery, Gray, Washington Co., TN, Findagrave #61120173.

     John William Sells was born on 19 September 1922 at Sullivan Co., TN.¹ He was the son of William Emory Sells and Pearl Deborah Keefauver.¹ John William Sells began military service WW II service, U.S. Army. He died on 5 November 2008 at Johnson City, Washington Co., TN, at age 86

John W. "J.W." Sells - GRAY
John W. Sells, age 86, 605 Old Stage Rd., Gray, passed away early Wednesday morning, Nov. 5, 2008, with family by his side in Johnson City Medical Center Hospital.

He was born in Sullivan County, TN, and was a son of the late William Emory and Pearl Keefauver Sells. Mr. Sells was a Christian and he attended Fountain of Life Bible Church. He was a member of the Boones Creek Ruritan and a past member of Gray Community Chest.

He served in the U.S. Army in the Southern Philippines 1942-1946 and in Germany 1951-1952. Mr. Sells retired from Eastman Kodak after 44 years of service in the Power and Services Division.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Russell P. Sells, of Kingsport; one sister, Ruth S. Hale of Gray.

Survivors include one daughter, Penny Sells Treadway, of Johnson City; one son, Chris Sells, of Gray; one granddaughter, Heather Olivia McRath, of Johnson City; one great-granddaughter, Tameira Faith McRath, of Johnson City; one brother and sister-in-law, Allen and Betty Sells, of Milton, W.VA; two sisters, Grace S. Jenkins and Evelyn S. Ferguson, both of Gray; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Friday in the Gray Funeral Home Chapel and any other time at the home of a sister, Evelyn Ferguson, 150 Suncrest St., Gray. Funeral services for Mr. Sells will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, in the Gray Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Vic Young and Dr. Gene Lasley officiating.

Pallbearers will be Cecil Rutledge, Scott Buckingham, Danny McClellan, Phil Sells, Phil Wheelock, Emory Sells and Leland Hamilton. Honorary pallbearers are his nephews.

Military graveside services will be held Saturday at 12:30 p.m. at Monte Vista Burial Park. Anyone wishing to go in procession is asked to meet at the funeral home by 11:15 Saturday.

Mildred Hale

Mildred Ruth Hale, 85, 876 Suncrest Drr., Gray, died at her residence on Monday, April 9, 2007, under the care of her family, friends and Hospice.

She was born in Kingsport on May 31, 1921, to the late Emory and Pearl Keefauver Sells. She lived most of her life in Gray. Ruth was a homemaker and helped her late husband in his business at the C.E. Hale Jewelry store in downtown Johnson City. She loved making ceramics, fishing and tending to her flowers.

She was a charter member of the Order of Eastern Star Grand View #411 and a 50 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star Nolichuckey Grand View #194. She was a Christian and of the Methodist faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence E. Hale, in 1978; one brother, Russell P. Sells, of Kingsport.

She is survived by her son, Roger Hale, and wife, Margie, of Gray, one granddaughter, Kim Phipps and husband, Kerry; one great-granddaughter, MaKayla Phipps, all of Watauga; two sisters, Grace Jenkins, Evelyn Ferguson, both of Gray; two brothers, John W. Sells, of Gray, Allen Sells and wife, Betty, of Milton, WV; sisters-in-law, Opal Sells, of Kingsport; several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Irene Ford and Terena Norris for their loving care in the past several months and to the Adventa Hospice Services for their kindness. The family will be receiving friends Wednesday evening from 6-8:30 p.m., with services to be held at 8:30 p.m. in the Gray Funeral Home Chapel, with Dr. Gene Lasley officiating.
