The family will receive friends from 7-9 this evening at Doughty-Stevens Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon in the funeral home chapel with interment in Liberty Cemetery. The Rev. Bill Rines and the Rev. Marty Shelton will officiate.

In 1920 they moved to Spring City, Pa., living there eight years, after which they returned to Elida. In 1939 they moved to Pennsylvania, living there until the time of his death. Surviving are his wife, 2 daughters (Waneta Mrs. William Hunsberger, Arvilla Mrs. Amos Bechtel), 2 sons Isaac and Wilmer), 11 grandchildren, his stepmother (Sophia Shenk), 6 half brothers and 4 half sisters (Jacob, Ira, Otho, Ras, Noah, Timothy, Mrs. Irvin Diller, and Mrs. John Cusick, all of Elida; Mrs. S. J. Powell, Denbigh, Va; and Mrs. Peter Straman, Barrean Beach, Mich.) Funeral services were held May 31 at the home by Abram Metz and at the Vincent Mennonite Church by Amos and Jacob Kolb. Shenk. Wilmer, son of Elmer J. and Ina (Swartz) Shenk, was born at Lima, Ohio, Aug. 30, 1916; died of a heart attack at Phoenixville (Pa.) Hospital on June 20, 1988; aged 71 y. On Dec. 23, 1939, he was married to Hazel Habig, who survives. Also surviving are 2 sons (Larry and Roger), 10 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, one brother (Isaac), and 2 sisters (Waneta Hunsberger and Arvilla Bechtel). He was a member of Vincent Mennonite Church, where funeral services were held on June 25, in charge of Norman Kolb, Matthew Kolb, and Karl Glick; interment in Vincent Mennonite Church Cemetery.
