     Louis Franklin Benedict was born on 1 May 1900 at Quincy Twp., Franklin Co., PA.¹ He was the son of Daniel M. Benedict and Isabella Price Norris.¹ Louis Franklin Benedict married Martha S. Stoner, daughter of Elder Solomon Stoner and Emma M. Cripe, on 3 March 1929.² Louis Franklin Benedict died on 9 October 1987 at Waynesboro, Franklin Co., PA, at age 87 Obituary (findagrave.com):

Louis F. Benedict, 87, of 5393 Manheim Road, died at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 9, 1987 in his home.

He had been in failing health since suffering a fractured hip in July.

Born May 1, 1900, in Quincy Township, he was the son of the late Daniel M. and Isabel P. Norris Benedict.

He lived all of his life in the Manheim Road area. He and his wife, Martha Stoner Benedict, were married in March 1929 and had lived at their residence the past 22 years.

Mr. Benedict was a farmer, retiring in 1965.

He was a member of the Falling Springs congregation of the Old German Baptist Church.

Smith James Benge married Cleo Arlene Parker, daughter of Clarence Freemont Parker and Bessie Chloe Wendel, on 10 October 1935 at Osceola, Clarke Co., IA. Smith James Benge died on 20 March 1958 at Indianola, Warren Co., IA, at age 46.

     Smith James Benge Jr. was born on 10 July 1936 at Warren Co., IA. He was the son of Smith James Benge and Cleo Arlene Parker. Smith James Benge Jr. married Joyce Kay Kimzey, daughter of Kenneth Wesley Kimzey and Elinor Edna Woods, on 11 August 1956. Jim Benge, 73, died Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at home.

Jim was born July 10, 1936 in Warren County, Iowa, the son of Smith and Arlene Benge. He graduated from Indianola High school in 1954 and spent his entire life in the Indianola and Warren County area. He worked at OK Tire and Auto in Des Moines for nearly 50 years retiring in 2003.

Jim married Joyce Kay Kimzey on August 11, 1956, to this union four children were born. Joyce passed away in 1984.

In later years, Jim learned to square dance with his partner, Louise. He enjoyed several years of fun dancing, until health forced him to stop. He enjoyed collecting model cars and Hot Wheels and spending time with his family especially his grandkids.

Jim is survived by his partner in life, Mary Louise Peckham; sons, Jeff of Blaine, MN and Terry (Beverly) Benge of Indianola; daughter, Cindy (Ron) Wiuff of Long Prairie, MN; brothers, Bob (Marilyn) Benge of Indianola and Larry Benge of Bridgewater; sister, Jayne Ann (Darrell) Maynes of Greenfield; ten grandchildren, Jack, Justin, Allison, Nathan, Nicholas and Taylor Benge, Nicole and Michelle Wiuff, Hillary Stewart and Ashley Benge; one great grandson, Benjamin Stewart; and many other friends, relatives and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Joyce; son, Steve; several brothers-in-law; and aunts and uncles.

He was buried in December 2009 at IOOF Cemetery, Indianola, Warren Co., IA, Find A Grave Memorial# 27996648.

     Steven Joseph Benge was born on 29 December 1972. He was the son of Smith James Benge Jr. and Joyce Kay Kimzey. Steven Joseph Benge died on 12 April 2002 at Milo, Warren Co., IA, at age 29.

     Martha Bengel married Hans Munzinger, son of Karl Munzinger and Juliana Dietz. Martha Bengel was born on 19 February 1917 at Danseberg, Germany.

     Galen Frederick Bengston was born on 12 February 1922. He married Marlys Aldean McKnight, daughter of John D. McKnight and Verna Ruth Long, on 27 September 1942 at McPherson, McPherson Co., KS, Trinity Lutheran Church. Galen Frederick Bengston lived in 1979 at Hutchinson, Reno Co., KS.

     Loren Augustine Benham was born on 25 January 1866 at Ohio.¹ He married Nellie Holbrook on 26 June 1895 at Montgomery Co., IN. Loren Augustine Benham died on 2 May 1955 at Pomona, Los Angeles Co., CA, at age 89.

     Loren H. Benham Jr. was also known as Loren H. Staudenmeir Surname per 1940 census and SSDI -- apparently he was adopted by Ludwig Staudenmeir.² He was born on 2 January 1924 at Los Angeles Co. (probably), CA.¹ He was the son of Loren Holbrook Benham and Velma Louise Hershey.¹ Loren H.      Loren Holbrook Benham was born on 24 March 1900 at Indiana.¹ He was the son of Loren Augustine Benham and Nellie Holbrook.² Loren Holbrook Benham married Velma Louise Hershey, daughter of Merrit Daniel Hershey and Maude A.
