Josephine Shuey
F, b. 23 December 1860, d. 28 July 1946
Josephine Shuey was born on 23 December 1860 at Missouri Josephine is listed as age 12 on the 1870 census of Boeuf Twp., Franklin County, Missouri, living with John and Deborah Shuey. Inasmuch as Deborah was listed as age 65, she was not the mother of Josephine, but rather it appears that John and Deborah were Josephine's grandparents. The only son of John and Deborah Shuey was James Monroe Shuey, as evidenced by the 1850 and 1860 censuses, and his marriage and children are well documented. Apparently Josephine was an out-of-wedlock child of one of the Shuey's daughters. DLB 2020.1
