MRS. DANIEL L. FORNEY
Mrs. Anna M. Forney, wife of the Rev. Daniel L. Forney of 2259 4th street, La Verne, passed away Wednesday evening at 5:15 o'clock at the family home, following an illness of three months.
Mrs. Forney was born in Virden, Ill. January 9, 1871. As a young woman, she went to Jalalpur, India, as a missionary for the General Mission board of the Church of the Brethren. After 13 years spent there, she and her family came to California and at the present time, her daughter, Mrs. Harlan J. Brooks is at the same station. For the last 14 years they have made their home in La Verne. She was a member of the La Verne Church of the Brethren.
Besides her husband, she is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Harlan J. Brooks, Jalalpur, India; Mrs. V. R. Kindy, Burbank, Calif., and Mrs. J. C. Whitmer, Glendora, Calif., and Mrs. J. W. Lear, Chicago, Ill; six grandchildren and several nephews and nieces.
Funeral services will be held in the Church of the Brethren, La Verne, Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, with Dr. D. W. Kurtz and the Rev. M. J. Mishler, officiating. Interment will be made in Evergreen cemetery, La Verne. Todd & Reeves are in charge of arrangements.
She was buried in April 1938 at La Verne Cemetery, La Verne, Los Angeles Co., CA, Findagrave #20808756.

Mae (Shull) Rice, age 81, a longtime rural Wingate resident, passed away on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 in Select Specialty Hospital in Fort Myers, FL. She was born in Crawfordsville, IN on September 3, 1939, daughter of the late Mina Merle Shull. She was married to Lloyd Lee Rice on April 26, 1974 in Crawfordsville and he preceded her in death on February 3, 2017. She was formerly married to Richard Dulin, who survives.
Mae had attended Coal Creek schools and retired after 30 plus years with R. R. Donnelley & Sons. She also assisted Lee on the farm. Mae joined the Women of the Moose in 1975 and was a 46-year active member of the Crawfordsville Moose Lodge, serving in all officer's positions, rising to Senior Regent. She was very proud of her work with the Moose and sponsored 43 members into the Lodge. She was a lifetime member and chaired many events. She achieved; College 2008, Past Regent 2007, Senior Regent 2006, and Academy Friends 2005. Mae moved from the farm near Wingate and moved to Florida in 2017 to be near her daughter.
Mae was proud of her children and encouraged them to work hard, be independent and stand on there own. She enjoyed bird watching, going out to eat and Bingo.
Surviving are seven children; one sister; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two nephews; and one niece. Mae was preceded in death by her mother; husband; and grandson, Hyton Jones.
Visitation hours are from 4:00–7:00 PM on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at Family and Friends Funeral Home in Wingate with funeral services at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 with Pastor Craig Carrell officiating at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Oak Hill-Grant Street Cemetery in Crawfordsville.

Mae (Shull) Rice, age 81, a longtime rural Wingate resident, passed away on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 in Select Specialty Hospital in Fort Myers, FL. She was born in Crawfordsville, IN on September 3, 1939, daughter of the late Mina Merle Shull. She was married to Lloyd Lee Rice on April 26, 1974 in Crawfordsville and he preceded her in death on February 3, 2017. She was formerly married to Richard Dulin, who survives.
Mae had attended Coal Creek schools and retired after 30 plus years with R. R. Donnelley & Sons. She also assisted Lee on the farm. Mae joined the Women of the Moose in 1975 and was a 46-year active member of the Crawfordsville Moose Lodge, serving in all officer's positions, rising to Senior Regent. She was very proud of her work with the Moose and sponsored 43 members into the Lodge. She was a lifetime member and chaired many events. She achieved; College 2008, Past Regent 2007, Senior Regent 2006, and Academy Friends 2005. Mae moved from the farm near Wingate and moved to Florida in 2017 to be near her daughter.
Mae was proud of her children and encouraged them to work hard, be independent and stand on there own. She enjoyed bird watching, going out to eat and Bingo.
