Hermann F. Singer, 93, of York, died on Monday, October 6, 2008 at York Hospital. He was the husband of Kathryn (Miller) Singer and the late Treva (Pressel) Singer.
He was manager of quality control and inspection for American Chain and Cable Company, York retiring in 1980.
Born October 8, 1914, in Rothenkirchen/Vogtland, Sachsen, Germany, he was the son of the late Hermann G. and Rebecca W. (Little) Singer. Hermann was educated in Germany and attended York Collegiate Institute in York.
He was a member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, York, and the Lancaster Liederkranz.

SHIRLEY ANN TERRELL, 71, of Salem died Friday, April 29, 2011 at her home.
She was born October 17, 1939 in Washington County, Indiana, the daughter of Wallace and Norma Nicholson Singleton. She was the retired co-owner of Terrell's Flowering Fields and a former employee of the old State Bank of Salem. She was a member of Sugar Creek Christian Church.
She is survived by her husband Byron Terrell of Salem; son Scott Terrell of Salem; three daughters: Roxanne Nantz, Barbara Campbell and Melody Bryant all of Salem; three brothers: Joe Singleton of Homer, Illinois, Roger Singleton of Salem and Barry Lee Singleton of Paoli; three sisters Grace Chastain and Joy Goen both of Orleans and Linda Freed of Pekin; 14 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers: Paul Nicholson and Eugene Singleton; two sisters: Joyce Singleton and Rita Riley; an infant sister and a grandchild.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 AM at Weathers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.
Visitation was held on Tuesday from 5-9 PM and Wednesday from 8 AM to the time of service.

She was buried in May 2011 at Crown Hill Cemetery, Salem, Washington Co., IN.

Mrs. Isabella Ross, relict of David Ross, died at her home near Conicville, Va, April 10th, 1895, aged 66 years, 2 months and 29 days. Mr. and Mrs. Ross were married Nov. 13th, 1857, and had three children, two sons and a daughter. One son preceded her to the spirit world, and two children survive her.

Mrs. Ross was a faithful member of the Reformed church. Her remains were laid to rest in the Reformed grave yard at Conicville, on Thursday morning, April 18th. A large congregation of relatives and friends gathered to pay their tribute of honor and esteem to the memory of one who was worthy of respect in life and of honor in death.

Her pastor preached from the text, 1 Cor., 15th chap. 53 verse. Sweet be her rest, and blessed be her abode in the world above.

She was buried on 18 April 1895 at Christ Reformed Church Cemetery, Conicville, Shenandoah Co., VA, Find A Grave Memorial# 62591735.
