     Jacob Sonner was born on 12 January 1848.¹ He was the son of William M. Sonner and Jane Lance.¹

     Note: Did not marry. Jacob Sonner began military service Civil War, Confederate Army. He was born circa 1842 at Strasburg, Shenandoah Co., VA.¹ He was the son of John Sonner and Harriet Clayton. Jacob Sonner died in 1862 at Battle of Bull Run, Prince William Co., VA.

Jacob Sonner, deceased, third child of John Sonner, deceased, never married. He died from accident, his servant brought out his horse for him to go to a wedding. He mounted his horse and the animal being very wild and vicious, threw him and broke his neck. He was in good circumstances, owing valuable real estate and a number of slaves.

Sonner married Elizabeth Macher, daughter of Philip Alexander Macher and Caroline Harriet Arthur, on 23 September 1862 at Shenandoah Co., VA. James A. Sonner began military service Civil War, Confederate Army. Occupation: Carpenter in 1870.¹ He lived in September 1870 at Strasburg, Shenandoah Co., VA.¹ He lived in June 1880 at Strasburg, Shenandoah Co., VA.² He died on 28 June 1900 at Shenandoah Co., VA. He was buried in July 1900 at Riverview Cemetery, Strasburg, Shenandoah Co., VA.

James Knox Polk Sonner died on 24 December 1908 at Valley City, Harrison Co., IN, at age 64. He was buried in December 1908 at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Cemetery, Mauckport, Harrison Co., IN.

     Jesse Elden Sonner was born in 1924 at Harrison Co., IN.¹ He was the son of Jesse Sonner and Eva (?)¹ Jesse Elden Sonner began military service on 29 March 1943 at Ft. Benjamin Harrison, Indianapolis, Marion Co., IN, Enlisted.

     Jesse Ellsworth Sonner was born in 1906 at Ohio.¹ He was the son of Jesse Leroy Sonner and Adah M. Coover.¹ Jesse Ellsworth Sonner died on 13 September 1963 at Delaware Co., OH.

     Jesse Ervin Sonner was born on 11 October 1887 at Wells Co., IN.¹ He was the son of William W. Sonner and Hannah Wolfcale. Jesse Ervin Sonner died on 9 February 1920 at Kalispell, Flathead Co., MT, at age 32.

Coover, daughter of Gideon Samuel Coover and Mary J.      Jesse W. Sonner was born in September 1886 at Highland Co., OH.¹ He was the son of Lewis J. Sonner and Martha Walker.¹

     Jessie Sonner was born in November 1893 at Harrison Co., IN.¹ She was the daughter of Isaac Sonner and Media Crecelius.¹

     Johann Philip Sonner was born on 7 October 1730 at Baden-Württemberg (now), Germany. He was the son of Johann Dietrich Sanner and Elisabetha Christina Vogel. Johann Philip Sonner immigrated on 29 September 1753; on the ship Snow Rowand from Rotterdam. He married Anna Elisabetha Wendel, daughter of Johann Valentine Wendel, in 1759 at Shenandoah Co., VA. Johann Philip Sonner married Veronica Hiser on 4 March 1788 at Shenandoah Co., VA. Johann Philip Sonner died on 10 October 1806 at Strasburg, Shenandoah Co., VA, at age 76 or about 1814, per the J. K. P. Sonner book.
