William Arthur Sonner lived on 8 June 1900 at Pleasant Twp., Logan Co., OH, farming.² He died on 1 February 1917 at Julietta Hospital, Julietta, Marion Co., IN, at age 62.      William H. Sonner was born in September 1876 at White Oak Twp., Highland Co., OH.¹ He was the son of William M. Sonner and Priscilla Robinson. William H. Sonner married Louise E. (?) circa 1897.¹

     William H. Sonner was born circa 1878 at Washington Twp., Harrison Co., IN. He was the son of John Pleasant Sonner and Sarah Faith.

     Note: William H. Sonner was a Confederate Soldier and by occupation, a carpenter. P.O. Address Strasburg, Va. His wife was accidentally burned to death. They had butchered and she was about the fire, her clothing took fire and she was badly burned, from which she died the next day.

     Note: Family tradition (recorded by J.K.P. Sonner) was that William Sonner could speak German, but Mary Ripperdan could not.

Ripperdan, daughter of John Ripperdan and Mary Sheppard, on 16 September 1824, Ceremony by Esq. Watson. William R. Sonner died on 26 January 1894 at Valley City, Harrison Co., IN, at age 95.

     William Weaver Sonner was born in November 1874 at Highland Co., OH.¹ He was the son of Samuel Sonner and Lydia Kessler.

     Clarence Leonard Sooy was born on 1 November 1882 at Morgan Co., IL. He married Mary M. Bowsher, daughter of Baker P. Bowsher and Ellen M. Hunt. Funeral services for Daniel Thomas Soper Sr., 79, of Sellersburg, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, at Coots Funeral Home. He died Thursday, Jan. 26, 2006, at Clark Memorial Hospital.
Visitation at the funeral home will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today, Friday, Jan. 27 and after 9 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 28.

     George Henry Sorber was born on 8 April 1906 at Fraser, Boone Co., IA. He married June Charlotte Curry, daughter of George William Curry Jr. and Laura Bertha Thompson, on 29 November 1938 at Jefferson Co., IA. George Henry Sorber and June Charlotte Curry were divorced before May 1940; George remarried to Marie Coder on 23 MAY 1940 at Davenport, Iowa. George Henry Sorber died on 30 May 1967 at Umatilla Co., OR, at age 61.

     Robert Earl Sorber was born on 2 August 1926 at Chicago, Cook Co., IL, son of John E. and Margaret (Wise) Sorber. He lived on 2 August 1944 at Holland, Allegan Co., MI, Pere Marquette Railroad employee, (WW II draft registration.) He married Phyllis Lee Shelton, daughter of Edgar Winfree Shelton Jr. and Nova Irene Chambers. Robert Earl Sorber died on 3 February 2008 at Longview, Gregg Co., TX, at age 81

GILMER - Graveside services for Robert E. "Bob" Sorber, 81, of Gilmer, will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, February 6, 2008, at Sparkman Hillcrest Memorial Park in Dallas, with the Rev. Wayne McKay officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Gilmer.

Mr. Sorber passed away on Sunday, February 3, 2008, in Longview.

Bob was born August 2, 1926, in Chicago, Ill., to John and Margaret Sorber. He was an inspector for Xerox.

Mr. Sorber is survived by his wife, Michaelene Sorber of Gilmer; children, Bob Sorber of Charlotte, N.C., Steven Sorber of Dallas, Susan Thurman of Bedford, Diane Ulbrich of Grapevine, Rick Ulbrich of Bedford, and Roger Ulbrich of Austin; sister, Jean Carlston of Moorehead City, N.C; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

     Patricia L. Sorenson was born in November 1927 at Bessemer, Gogebic Co., MI. She was the daughter of George A. Sorenson and Verna B. Luther. Patricia L. Sorenson married Attilio Mario Tirapelli.

     Eleanor Elizabeth Sorrell was born on 6 March 1937. She married Gary Delano Broadwater, son of Alonzo Woodrow Broadwater and Betty Elizabeth Wiley. Eleanor Elizabeth Sorrell died on 21 December 1993 at age 56. She was buried in December 1993 at Grantsville Cemetery, Grantsville, Garrett Co., MD, Findagrave #80287767.

     Elizabeth Sorrick was born on 20 December 1860.¹ She was the daughter of Adam Sorrick and Sophia Hoye.¹ Elizabeth Sorrick married Rev. Elias P. Wise, son of Elias T. Wise and Catherine Price, on 20 December 1883.¹ Elizabeth Sorrick died on 16 August 1922 at age 61.¹

     Joe Edward Sorsby was born on 6 February 1926 at Belton, Bell Co., TX. He died on 22 August 2012 at Houston, Harris Co., TX, at age 86 Obituary (Findagrave.com):

Joe Edward Sorsby was born on February 6,1926 in Belton, Texas to Lee Bradley Sorsby and Edward Sorsby. He was proceeded in death by his parents. Joe joined our heavenly father on August 22, 2012 at the age of 86. He is survived by his two sisters, Johnnye Welch and Helen Tomlin; brothers and sister in laws, Carl and Jean Sorsby and Jimmy and Diane Sorsby as well as his wife and family. Joe was joined in marriage to Wilma Davalt on December 16,1944 in Houston, TX. They lived in Houston, TX where they raised four children. His sons are Joe Edward Jr. and wife Jill, Sammy Sorsby and wife Brenda, daughters Cathy Kubicek and husband Danny, and Patti Wilson and husband Donald. Joe and Wilma have 13 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 8 great great grandchildren. He has numerous nieces and nephews. Joe enjoyed watching NASCAR races, the Astros (and especially coaching from his chair), hunting and going to ropings. He loved his family and enjoyed life with smiles and much laughter! Joe retired from LTV Energy formally Continental Emsco in 1991. He then worked for Sprint Companies part time until 2002. Joe was a member of Salem Lutheran Church where he was baptized at the age of 79 on November 28,2004. Joe will be missed by his family. There will be a viewing at Heights Funeral Home on Sunday, August 26th from 4:00 to 6:00PM. Funeral Services will be held at Salem Lutheran Church, 22601 Lutheran Church Road, Tomball, Texas on Monday, August 27th at 11:00AM following a visitation from 10:00 to 11:00 in the church lobby. Pall Bearers are grandsons: Jason Shiery, Donald Wilson, Michael Wilson, Frank King, Brandon Wehmeyer and David Sorsby. In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to Salem Lutheran Church with a memo noted for "Nursery fund".
