Martha Pat Anderson Starling married Howard Snow Smith; Howard was first married to Lula Jordan (1888-1921) and had two children , Kate Smith (1910-2007) and James Howard Smith (1913-?). Kate married Charles Hayes McKinney (1906-1983). James was single and working as a clerk in Washington, D.C. as of the 1940 census, but is not found in any public records thereafter, including military and Social Security records. DLB 2023.

     Robert Hill Starling was born on 19 September 1788 at Virginia. He was the son of Roderic Starling and Jane Esther Hill. Occupation: County Sheriff about 1818.² Robert Hill Starling died on 16 December 1825 at King William Co., VA, at age 37.

Samuel McDowell Starling married Elizabeth Ann Gabriella Lewis, daughter of Gabriel Lewis and Mary Bibb, on 29 September 1831.¹ Occupation: Gentleman and late merchant in 1860.² Samuel McDowell Starling lived in 1860 at Hopkinsville, Christian Co., KY.² He died on 15 December 1890 at age 83.

Sarah Starling died on 28 April 1814 at Franklinton, Franklin Co., OH, at age 32. Cause of death: in 1814 Typhus contracted while caring for militia men encamped in Franklinton (War of 1812.) She was buried in 1814 at Green Lawn Cemetery, Columbus, Franklin Co., OH, Findagrave #15302800.

     Sarah Starling was also known as "Sally".
Note: Per Joseph Sullivant book, she had two sons who died without issue, and a daughter who married into the Shield (sic) family from Yorktown, and had descendants. She was born in 1758. She was the daughter of William Starling and Jane Gordon. Sarah Starling married Capt. Abraham Archer in 1785 at Virginia. Sarah Starling died in 1797.
