     Aubrey D. Stokes was born on 28 March 1921. He married Wave Estelle Armstrong, daughter of Raymond Hite Armstrong and Gladys Naomi Rhodes. Occupation: Tom Green County District Attorney, later private practice attorney with the law firm of Webb, Stokes & Sparks, San Angelo. Aubrey D. Stokes died on 15 August 1991 at age 70.      Shirley Ann Stokes was born on 31 December 1939 at Bluff City, Sullivan Co., TN. She was the daughter of Carson Kenneth Stokes and Lizzie Kate Galloway. Shirley A. Godsey, age 76, of Piney Flats, went home to rejoice with her Lord on Saturday, November 26, 2016 at Johnson City Medical Center.

Shirley was born on December 31, 1939 in Bluff City, she was the daughter of the late Carson Stokes and Kate Galloway Stokes. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband Haskell Elmo Godsey on June 6 , 2012.

Ms. Godsey was the former owner and operator of Country Heritage Catering. She enjoyed watching game shows and reading her Bible. Shirley was a member of Victory Bible Fellowship and was currently attending Chinquapin Grove Baptist Church and was a member of the Order of Eastern Star Chapter 414.

Those left to cherish Shirley’s memory include two daughters, Kenna Ellis and husband Kenneth of Bluff City, Holly Perry and husband Jeremy of Piney Flats. One granddaughter Emily Perry of Piney Flats and one grandson Will Ellis of Bluff City. She is also survived by a sister-in-law Yvonne Baird and husband Bill of Bluff City, and several nephews, also by her pets a cat and her dog Margo.

A service to honor the life of Ms. Shirley Godsey will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 1, 2016 at Tetrick Funeral Home – Bluff City Chapel with Reverend Jamie Ferguson and Dr.Dwayne Baird officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 5-7 pm.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 2, 2016 at Morning View Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be Richard Mettler, Donnie Mottern, Jimmy Greenway, Clarence Bledsoe and Robert Perry. Those wishing to attend the service are asked to meet at the cemetery at 10:50 a.m.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Crystal Bailey of Silver Angels for all the love & care extended to Shirley.

     Angela Stoktosa was also known as "Nellie". She was born on 18 June 1891. She married Albert Stasika circa 1911.¹ Angela Stoktosa was buried at Saint Anthony Cemetery, Minneapolis, Hennepin Co., MN, Findagrave #96912991. She died on 23 December 1968 at age 77.

     Charles A. Stolberg married Mary Houser.¹

     Harry Houser Stolberg was born on 29 September 1894.¹ He was the son of Charles A. Stolberg and Mary Houser.¹ Harry Houser Stolberg began military service WW I service, U.S. Army. He married Lois Adelaide Wise, daughter of Rev. Elias P. Wise and Elizabeth Sorrick, on 10 May 1919, No children.¹ Harry Houser Stolberg died on 7 January 1921 at age 26.² Cause of death: Mr. Stolberg was a Captain in U.S. Service during World War. Had an enviable record in France; was gassed and his nervous system badly shattered. In his weakened condition fell an easy victim to pneumonia. Residence was in Birmingham, Mich. Mrs. Stolberg now living at North Canton, Ohio.²

BONDVILLE - Memorial services for Brian Muriel Stoll, 40, of Bondville will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Mittendorf-Calvert Funeral Home, 2400 Galen Drive, C. The Rev. Robert Freeman will officiate.

Burial will be at a later date.

Visitation will be 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Stoll died at 9:20 a.m. Friday at his home.

He was born Nov. 9, 1961, in Princeton, Ind., a son of Edwin J. and Judith Rae Stoll. He married Rebecca Sue Densmore on Sept. 10, 1988, in Ludlow.

Survivors include his parents; a son, Joshua Stoll of Rantoul; a daughter, Valerie Stoll of Rantoul; a brother, Jon Stoll of Fort Worth, Texas; two sisters, Anne Lewis of Tucson, Ariz., and Kelly Gonzales of Tulsa, Okla.

Mr. Stoll was a graduate of Oblong High School. He held five ASE certificates in automotive technology while attending Parkland College and a petroleum technology certificate while attending Lincoln Trail College in Robinson.

He has been a member of the Bondville Volunteer Fire Department since 1991, and was a mail handler with the U.S. Postal Service in Champaign.

He was also a member of the National Rifle Association and the Illinois State Rifle Association, and he was enrolled with the Southern Cherokee Nation.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Carle Cancer Center or Bondville Volunteer Fire Department.

Edwin J. Stoll, 72, of Tucson, Ariz., and formerly of Oblong, died Monday, August 25, 2008, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Tucson, Ariz.

There will be no visitation. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Haven Hill Cemetery in Olney. Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Olney is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Stoll was born March 11, 1936, in Olney, the son of Edwin Joseph and Margaret (Williams) Stoll.

He attended school in Olney, transferring to Kemper Military School in Booneville, Mo. He worked in Des Moines, Iowa, and for Cuckler Steel Span Co. in Georgia before returning to Illinois to partner with his brother in purchasing the West Salem Advocate newspaper. He later moved to Vincennes, Ind., to be a printing and Linotype instructor at Vincennes University. In 1969, he purchased the Oblong Oracle and Palestine Register weekly newspapers and moved to Oblong where he and his wife, Judy, raised their four children, In 1984, he moved to Arlington, Texas, and worked for DFW Suburban Newspapers, later moving to Tucson, Arizona, in 1999. He enjoyed playing tennis, golfing, hiking and spending time with his grandchildren.

Mr. Stoll is survived by his son, Jon Stoll and grandsons, Seth and Jaylen, of Crowley, Texas; daughter, Anne Lewis and grandchildren, Nicole and Maurice, of Tucson, Arizona; daughter, Kelly Gonzales, her husband, Michael, and grandsons, Jared and Connor, of Tulsa, Okla; daughter-in-law, Becky Densmore-Stoll and grandson, Josh, of Champaign; granddaughter Valerie Chillingworth, and great-grandson, Xander, of Robinson; former wife, Judy Stoll of Rantoul; sister, Jeanine Stage, of Minnesota; brother, Joseph Stoll, of Florida; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Brian Stoll and his sister, Joanne Joiner.

Joanne Laura Stoll married Wilburn Laverne Joiner, son of Kenneth James Joiner and Jewell Stone, Wilbur Joiner appears to have had at least two marriages in the 1940s, in Texas, prior to his marriage to Joanne Stoll. Joanne was first married to Robert L. Artz in 1947, but that marriage appears to have ben quite short. Joanne Laura Stoll died on 25 January 1999 at Hennepin Co., MN, at age 70.
