Margie L. Lawver, 96 of North Manchester, IN and formerly of Huntington, IN died Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2019, at 1:06 p.m. at Timbercrest Senior Living in North Manchester.

Mrs. Lawver graduated from Lancaster High School in 1941. She and her husband worked their farm together until retirement in 1984. They were trustees of Lancaster Township for more than 10 years. She lived in Lancaster Township for 94 years until she moved to Timbercrest in North Manchester on Dec. 28, 2017.

She was a lifelong member of the Salamonie Church of the Brethren where she served in many capacities on the Church Board. She sang in the choir for eight decades, taught children Sunday school and served on the Building Committee of the current church. She was also a member of the local Home Economics Club.

She was born July 11, 1923, at Huntington Memorial Hospital, to Donald S. and Fern Hacker Stroup. She married Henry F. Lawver on Dec. 24, 1942, and he preceded her in death.
Survivors include two daughters, two grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

She was buried in August 2019 at Lancaster Cemetery, Lancaster, Huntington Co., IN, Findagrave #201944158.
