Shirley was the daughter of the late Harry & Florence (Young) Strubel.

Shirley graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1952. She and her husband, Jack Doty had been married for 62 years. She had retired from Qwest in 1995 after 20 years of service. She was a member of First Christian Church.

In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her son, Scott Doty.

Shirley is survived by her husband, Jack Doty; sons and daughters-in-law, Steve & Debbie Doty and David & Kelli Doty; sister, Julia Brittain; half-sister, Ruth Gentzler; 4 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
