     Leo Robinette Suydam was born on 2 July 1902 at Adrian, Lenawee Co., MI. He married Lila Isabelle Matthews, daughter of LeRoy Neafie Matthews and Vivian Victoria Mellon, in November 1956 at Lenawee Co., MI. Leo Robinette Suydam died on 3 July 1994 at Adrian, Lenawee Co., MI, at age 92.

     Rose Alva Svec was born on 13 January 1897 at Cedar Rapids, Linn Co., IA.^1,2 She was the daughter of Stephan W. Svec and Elizabeth A. Busek.¹ Rose Alva Svec married Orvie Everett Nabholz, son of John George Nabholz and Mary R. Wilt, on 14 August 1919 at the home of the bride's parents, Cedar Rapids, Linn Co., IA. Rose Alva Svec and Orvie Everett Nabholz were divorced before April 1940. Rose Alva Svec married Henry F. Droster before April 1940. Rose Alva Svec died on 21 June 1958 at Madison, Dane Co., WI, at age 61

Mrs. Henry Droster

Mrs. Henry Droster. 60. of 5312 Winnequah Rd., Monona Village, a Madison vicinity resident for 30 years, died Saturday after a brief illness.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Schroeder Funeral home here. The Rev. W. H. Nelson of St. Stephens' Evangelical Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will be in Sunset memory Gardens.

Friends may call at the funeral home until time of services.

Mrs. Droster was a member of St. Stephen's Church and of the Madison Eagles Auxiliary. She was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Mildred Blake, 5006 Shore Acres Rd., and Betty Nabholz, at home; two sons, Stephen J. Nabholz, 5314 Winnequah Rd., and Paul L. Nabholz, 1730 Sheridan St; her mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Novak, Cedar Rapids; a sister Mrs. Earl Waychoff, Watkins, Iowa; and nine grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggested that contributions be made to the cancer Fund.

Pallbearers for Mrs. Droster will be Richard Kemmer, Morris Martinson, William Miner, James Nielsen, Oscar Osen, and Charles Williams.

     Ernest Paul Swadener was also known as Ernest Paul Reed It appears that Ernest Swadener was taken to raise by his aunt Wilhelmina "Mina" (Whiteford) Reed sometime before the 1940 census, and legally changed his surname to Reed prior to his 1951 induction into the military. He was listed twice on the 1940 census, once in Margaret (Whitehead) Swadener's family and once as Ernest Reed in Mina (Whitehead) Reed's household. He was born on 14 November 1933 at Los Angeles Co., CA.¹ He was the son of Paul Harner Swadener and Margaret Jane Whiteford. Ernest Paul Swadener began military service on 16 January 1951 Korean War service, discharged 3 SEP 1954. He died on 2 March 1993 at Riverside Co., CA, at age 59.

     George Halleck Swadener was born on 30 May 1862 at Greene Co., OH.¹ He was the son of Owen Swadener and Elmyra Demaries Beall.      Paul Harner Swadener was born on 30 December 1904 at Dayton, Montgomery Co., OH.¹ He was the son of George Halleck Swadener and Berdella Maude Harner.¹ Paul Harner Swadener married Margaret Jane Whiteford, daughter of James Whiteford and Martha Irwin, on 19 November 1929 at Los Angeles Co., CA. Paul Harner Swadener lived on 16 October 1940 at 2244 South Gladys Avenue, San Gabriel, Los Angeles Co., CA, WW II draft registration. He died on 1 December 1967 at Los Angeles Co., CA, at age 62.      Robert Swadener was born circa 1925. He was the son of Paul Harner Swadener.
Note: This individual is listed in the 1940 census, as the son of Paul H. Swadner. He is not found in any other online records. I suspect he was an out-of-wedlock son of Paul Swadner, and actually/legally had his mother's surname.

Virginia Swafford Sisk, age 79, of Nebo, passed away Monday, December 29, 2008 at her residence. A native of Prince George County, Va., she was born July 12, 1929 to the late James D. Holler and Maggie Swafford. In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by a brother, James Daniel Swafford and a step-father, George P. Bailey. She was a member of Nebo First Baptist Church and a homemaker. Virginia was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Mrs. Sisk leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband, Ralph B. Sisk of the home, five daughters: Dianne Bennick and husband Leonard of Nebo, Kay Simmons of Old Fort, Sherry Jones and husband Johnny of Morganton, Patti Wood and husband Jack of Marion, Debbie Smith of Nebo; a sister, Louise Church and husband Harold of Marion; nine grandchildren, Missy Duckworth, Todd Bennick, Jonathan Bennick, Stephanie Lytle, Scott Simmons, Chris Jones, Tracy Jones, Daniel Smith and Darren Smith; nine great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 31 at 12:00 noon at Nebo First Baptist Church with the Rev. Hall Hollifield and Rev. Doug Worley officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00-12:00 noon, one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in Nebo First Baptist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Rutherford County, P. O. Box 336, Forest City, N. C. 28043.
