Jones and S. A. (?), on 27 May 1890, Ceremony by Rev. C. R. Strawn.¹ Horace H. Swink lived in 1926 at 1918 West Ave. H, Temple, Bell Co., TX.¹

     John Swinski was born on 2 April 1900 at Allegheny Co., PA, per WW II draft registration. Other California sources show 1898. Registration record shows "Boreland" Pennsylvania place of birth, but there is no listed place name of "Borland" or "Boreland" in Allegheny County. John's date of birth is questionable -- it's not clear that he knew the date and place. The 1910 census of Plymouth, in Luzerne County, Pennsylvania shows John Swinski, born Michigan, with a much-corrected and overwritten age of 19. (There is no Borland/Boreland in Michigan either.) The Elizabeth Swinski, age 13 listed two lines below John, married Joseph Putulowski and is listed on John's WW II draft registration as his next-of-kin. A National Homes for Disabled Volunteer Soldiers, 1866 - 1938 record lists John Swinsky, born about 1900 at Borland, Pennsylvania and residing at Sawtelle, Los Angeles, California, as having enlisted on 8 JUL 1918 at Portland, Oregan and been discharged 17 DEC 1918 at Camp Zachary Taylor, Kentucky, and been assigned to Battery F, 5th Field Artilllery Rep. Depot. The discharge appears to have been for medical/health reasons. DLB 2021.

He was the son of Peter Swinski and Mary Gimeiroski. John Swinski married Elizabeth O'Neal Emmert, daughter of Percival Redfield Emmert and Amy O'Neal, on 14 November 1942 at Little Church of the Flowers, Glendale, Los Angeles Co., CA, ceremony by Rev. Harold E. Broughton, pastor of First Methodist Church of Los Angeles. John apparently had a previous marriage, as he was listed as divorced on the 1940 census.

Cannot ascertain how long this marriage lasted -- she was a Simpson at the time of her death. No evidence of any children.

John Swinski died on 1 December 1976 at Los Angeles Co., CA, at age 76.

     Peter Swinski was born circa 1859 at Russian Poland.¹ He married Mary Gimeiroski circa 1888.¹ Peter Swinski died after 2 January 1920 at Luzerne Co. (probably), PA.

     (?) Swisher was born in 1833. She was the daughter of Joseph Switzer and Anna Funkhouser.

     Adam Tabler Swisher was the son of Adam Swisher and Elizabeth Tabler.¹ Adam Tabler Swisher married Mary Catherine Hedges, daughter of Harvey Allen Hedges and Catharine E. Miller, on 30 May 1867.¹ Adam Tabler Swisher died on 5 January 1917 at Marshall, Saline Co., MO.¹

     Adam Tabler Swisher Jr. was the son of Adam Tabler Swisher and Mary Catherine Hedges.¹

     Alma Lee Swisher was the daughter of Vinyard Barnes Swisher and Elivia Hedges.¹

     Altha Marian Swisher was born on 7 April 1902 at Newark, Licking Co., OH. She was the daughter of John Wesley Swisher and Sarah Ina Kuppinger.¹ Altha Marian Swisher married Marion Swartz, son of Luther Ashby Swartz and Anna Elizabeth Strickler, on 23 November 1920.²

     Anna Amanda Swisher was born on 7 January 1867 at Colerain Twp., Lancaster Co., PA.¹ She was the daughter of Simeon Woodrow Swisher and Anna Louisa Pennington.¹ Anna Amanda Swisher married Howard P. Harvey on 18 February 1895. Occupation: After the death of her husband, Anna went to Deaconess School and became a missionary to Korea. between 1917 and 1937. Anna Amanda Swisher died on 27 January 1940 at Pennsylvania at age 73.

     Anna Harvey Swisher was born on 25 July 1926 at Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of Harold Pennington Swisher and Julia Florence Chase. Anna Harvey Swisher married Neil Randall Taylor in 1950. Anna Harvey Swisher died in 1991 at Cecil Co., MD.
