     Minnie May Black was born in January 1864 at Indiana.¹ She married William Cooper on 10 April 1889 at Hancock Co., IN.¹

     Nancy Black was born in 1798 at Kentucky. She married John Cunningham on 8 November 1817. Nancy Black died in 1873.

     Nancy Jane Black was born circa 1854 at Missouri.¹ She was the daughter of John Letcher Black and Nancy Jane Porter. Nancy Jane Black married Harvey Peter Croff, son of George Croff and Elizabeth (?), circa 1872.¹

     Richard Lane Black was born on 27 May 1881 at Licking Co., OH. He was the son of John Rees Black and Caroline May Larimore. Richard Lane Black married Lena Carroll McCall, daughter of Rev. Ambrose Kerruth McCall and Florence Emma Hutchins, on 14 October 1908. Richard Lane Black died on 6 November 1953 at Newark, Licking Co., OH, at age 72.      Richard Warren Black was born on 30 October 1920 at Licking Co., OH. He was the son of Richard Lane Black and Lena Carroll McCall.

     Capt. Robert Black Sr. was born on 12 October 1750 at Augusta Co., VA. He married Ann Spears. Capt. Robert Black Sr. began military service Revolutionary War service, Continental Army. Two stones, one on churchyard ground, military marker affixed inside the church. He died on 18 July 1837 at Troy, Woodford Co., KY, at age 86.      Sarah C. Black was born on 18 August 1906 at Adams Co., PA. She was the daughter of George P. Black and Verna A. Weikert.

     Sarah Elizabeth Black was born on 14 April 1847 at Adams Co., OH.¹ She married Hezekiah Swigart circa 1867.¹ Sarah Elizabeth Black died on 23 April 1916 at St. Joseph, Buchanan Co., MO, at age 69.

Troy Woman Passes

NICHOLASVILLE, Ky., June 30 (Special) -- Mrs. Sara Bell Blake, 88, died at the Woodford Memorial Hospital in Varsailles at 2:15 o'clock this morning. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Lee Moffett of Woodford county; a son, D. C. Blake of Woodford county; five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

The body was removed to the Guyn and Kurtz funeral home at Nicholasville, and this afternoon was to be returned to the home. Funeral services will be held at the residence at 2:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon with the Rev. J. D. Arbuckle officiating. Burial will be in the Ebenezer cemetery at Troy.

She was buried in July 1941 at Ebenezer Cemetery, Jessamine Co., KY, Findagrave #107108797.

     Verelle Black was born on 10 April 1907 at Smith Co., MS. He married Anne Emile Goza, daughter of Joseph Austin Goza and Maude Starnes, Verelle was first married to Martha Elizabeth Willette (1908 - 2001) and had a son, William Norman "Bill" Black (1931 - 1985). Verelle Black died on 4 July 1995 at Methodist Hospital, Hattiesburg, Forrest Co., MS, at age 88

Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday at Hulett Winstead Funeral Home in Hattiesburg for Verelle Black, 88, of Hattiesburg, who died July 4, 1995, at Methodist Hospital in Hattiesburg.

The Rev. Russell Bush Jr. will officiate. Interment will be in the Highland Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be A. G. "Ossie" Collins, Burfkin McSwain, Francis Farmer, Newton Farmer, Dr. Harry Goza and Charles Newcomer.

Mr. Black was a native of Lauderdale county and a longtime resident of Hattiesburg. He was a retired building contractor. Mr. Black was preceded in death by one son, Bill Black.

Survivors include his wife, Emile G. Black of Hattiesburg; one step-son, Johnny Adamo of Hattiesburg; one sister, Urmede Hoyle of Port St. Jo, Fla; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5 - 8 tonight at Hulett Winstead Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to the Main Street Baptist Church Building Fund or the Court Street United Methodist Church.

     Charles Alexander Blackburn was born on 27 November 1873 at Tennessee. He was the son of William Blackburn and Sarah Rankin. Charles Alexander Blackburn married Leola Martin, daughter of William Kenneth Martin and Ada Jane Rankin, on 30 July 1914. Charles Alexander Blackburn died on 18 October 1947 at age 73.

     Mary Lilly Blackburn was born on 26 May 1916 at North Carolina.¹ She married Rodney Whitman on 29 January 1934 at Dillon Co., SC. Mary Lilly Blackburn lived on 29 April 1940 at Kenansville Twp., Duplin Co., NC, farming.¹ She and Rodney Whitman were divorced on 15 May 1946 at Norfolk, VA.
