A Dorothy Wilson, age 3/12, does appear in the 1930 census of Woodbury County, Iowa, daughter of Alvin and Alice Wilson - the age is not a good match to either the census date of April 25, nor the SSDI record. No Dorothy Wilson of the appropriate age was in the 1930 Pipestone County, Minnesota census. She married Richard Marice Faulhaber, son of Clarence F. Faulhaber and Evelyn Jeanette Richardson, on 7 October 1950. Dorothy Jean Wilson died on 22 June 2001 at Grants Pass, Josephine Co. (probably), OR, at age 72 Birth and death dates per SSDI.

Dorothy J. Furgeson, 90, of Shelbyville passed away Thursday, August 8, 2019 at Aperion Health Care.

Born March 19, 1929 in Johnson County, she was the daughter of Sylvester Wilson and Jessie (Coombs) Wilson. She married Perry W. Furgeson on June 23, 1973 and he survives.

Other survivors include daughters, Mary Ellen (Terry) VanSickle of Shelbyville, Lora Furgeson of Shelbyville, son Scott (Susan) Furgeson of Shelbyville; 2 brothers, Ray Wilson of Morristown, Russell (Helen) Wilson of Columbus; and 2 grandchildren, Maryalice Furgeson and Drew Furgeson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Robert Wilson, Harold Wilson, sisters-in-law, Harriet Wilson & Reba Wilson.

Mrs. Furgeson had lived in this area for 60 years, after moving from Warsaw, Indiana.

She had attended Mt. Auburn High School, and had been a factory worker with Admiral/Rockwell for 13 years and also with KCL Corporation for 15 years, retiring in 1995.

Dorothy was a master basket maker, and enjoyed working picture and word search puzzles.

She loved traveling and cruising. She and her husband had taken a total of 15 cruises over the years.

A Celebration of Life will be 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road, with Rev. Robert Cambell officiating.

Burial will be in Miller Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Shelbyville/Shelby County Animal Shelter, in care of the funeral home.

Edgar Lewis Wilson lived on 13 June 1900 at Barada Precinct, Richardson Co., NE.1 He lived on 20 January 1920 at Barada Precinct, Richardson Co., NE, Widowed, farming, rented home.2 He lived on 7 April 1930 at Holt Twp., Lincoln Co., MO, This location is surprisingly distant from Edgar's previous locations in 1900 - 1920. This possibly could have been a different Ed L. Wilson, although the demographics are a good match. DLB 2017.3 He died on 4 May 1963 at Oregon, Holt Co., MO, at age 87.

She was born in Calabogie, Ontario, Canada, on June 17, 1914, and was the daughter of the late William Day and Norah Johnston Wilson. She had been a member of the First Christian Church in Parkersburg.

Survivors include her son, Robert W. Hider; daughter, Carolyn D. Hunter of Marietta; daughter-in-law, Marcia A. Hider of Columbus; grandchildren, Steven Hider, Erin Nowilaty, Jill (David) Peters, all of Columbus, Tara (Michael) Hupp of Marietta, Scott (Annie) Hunter of St. Charles, Ill., and Brent (Angela) Hunter of Scottsdale, Ariz; 11 great-grandchildren; a niece, Dawn Hardy of Michigan; and her caregiver of over 12 years, Robin Barth.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bert Franklin Hider Jr., in 1999; her parents; and several brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be private, with burial in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
