Daniel and Eliza Mary "Mollie" (Risher) Varner.¹ She married Samuel Richard Penn, son of Richard Penn and Emily Anne Pettit, at Washington Co., PA, Vesta and Samuel may or may not have been legally married -- no record found. They were the parents of a stillborn infant born in October, 1919, and they were listed together as husband and wife on the January, 1920, federal census. However, Vesta remarried, using her maiden name, to Earle Carter Wright on 10 May, 1922, under a marriage license filed 29 MAY 1922 in Washington County, PA, and had at least two children with him. She remarried a second time to John E. Ward on 1 NOV 1943 at Winchester, Virginia.¹

     Elizabeth Vaughan was also known as "Betty".¹ She was born on 4 April 1863 at Missouri.¹ She was the daughter of Almond Thomas Vaughan and Margaret Lucille Swain. Elizabeth Vaughan married Caswell Prewitt Paxton, son of Luke Haff Paxton and Mary Ann Prewitt, circa 1887.¹ Elizabeth Vaughan died on 15 August 1942 at Mineral Springs Sanitarium, Louisiana, Pike Co., MO, at age 79.
