     Sarah Ellen Walker was born on 31 August 1853 at Montgomery Co., PA.1 She was the daughter of Isaiah Walker and Hester Ann Weidner.1 Sarah Ellen Walker married Levi Souder Bergey, son of Henry Cassel Bergey and Susannah Souder, circa 1873, eleven children born, all living as of the 1900 census.2 Sarah Ellen Walker lived on 10 June 1880 at Towamencin Twp., Montgomery Co., PA, in the home of her in-laws.3 She lived on 15 June 1900 at Hatfield Twp., Montgomery Co., PA.2 She died on 27 July 1938 at Lansdale, Montgomery Co., PA, at age 84

SARAH BERGEY, 84, DIES AT LANSDALE

Mrs. Sarah Ellen Bergey, eighty-four years old, widow of Levi Bergey, died at her home 100 Susquehanna avenue, Lansdale last night.

Mrs. Bergey, who suffered a stroke on May 29, had been confined to bed since then.

She was the daughter of the late Isaiah and Esther Walker, of Worcester, and resided in Lansdale fifty-five years.
The following children survive: Harry W., Waterloo, Iowa; Norman and Arthur, Cleveland, Ohio; Isaiah, Patterson, N.J; Mrs. Mayme (Mary) Leonard, Philadelphia; Mrs. Esther Dwyer, Mrs. Harvey Kemp, Mrs. Chester Harvey, Mrs. Clinton Frederick, and Levi, Jr., all of Lansdale.

Mrs. Bergey who was raised the four children of her daughter, Mrs. Emma Wright, who died during the influenza epidemic in 1918. These grandchildren are Mrs. Priscilla Smith, and Mrs. June Pade, Lansdale, and William and Norman Wright at home. There are thirty-two other grandchildren surviving.

Three sisters who survive are; Mrs. Annie Corson, Norristown, Mrs. James (Matilda) Krout, North Wales; and Mrs. Amanda Shearer, 100 Susquehanna avenue, Lansdale.
Funeral arrangements have not been competed.

DEATHS

BERGEY--On July 27th, 1938, Sarah E. widow of Levi S. Bergey, aged 84 years. Relatives and friends are invited to services at her late residence, 100 Susquehanna Avenue, Lansdale, on Sunday, July 21st, at 2:30 P.M., D.S.T. Internment Lansdale Cemetery. Friends may call Saturday evening after 7 o'clock.

     Stuart Hempstead Walker was born on 27 September 1878 at Covington, Kenton Co., KY. He was the son of William Perry Walker Jr. and Margaret Jane Hempstead. Stuart Hempstead Walker married Edith Maria Hall, daughter of Edward Clark Hall and Anna Elizabeth Mix. Stuart's education consisted of the Berkeley School in New York, Yale University and the University of Cincinnati, where he received a B.S. in 1897. He was a 33d degree Mason and at the time of his death,was the executive secretary for the Knights Templar Educational Loan Foundation. He joined the Tompkins Lodge of Masons in 1906 and held many important Masonic posts, state and local.
He was also a retired lieutenant colonel for the New York National Guard.

Stuart was head of the Walker Safe Company in New York City. He was the former Vice President of the Hall Safe Company, located in Cincinnati, Ohio, for the east coast division. He resided in Staten Island most of his life.

He was buried in May 1967 at Spring Grove Cemetery, Cincinnati, Hamilton Co., OH, Find A Grave Memorial# 58996138.

WILLIAM A. WALKER
William Alexander Walker, son of James and Phoebe Goss Walker, was born in Washington county, September 20, 1856, and departed this life January 26, 1941, at the age of 84 years, four months and six days.
On January 6, 1881, he was united in marriage to Lucinda Caroline
Payne, who departed this life April 5, 1932. To this union five children were born. Two sons, an infant and Wilford Lee preceded them to the grave. The living children are: Edward B., Albert L. and Mrs. Claude Taylor, all of Washington county.
Besides the children he leaves to mourn their loss, one brother, Lewis of Milwaukee; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild, besides a host of other relatives and friends.
Both he and his companion were members of the Conoway Methodist church, having joined about the year 1887.
He had been in poor health for a number of years and was conscious of his condition to the very last.
Services were held Tuesday afternoon at Conoway church, in charge of the Rev. C. E. Homberger. Burial was in Payne Cemetery.

He was buried in January 1941 at Anderson-Payne Cemetery, South Boston, Washington Co., IN.

Alfred Walkley

ATHENS -- Alfred Walkley, 83, died at 10:30 p.m. Saturday in a Battle Creek hospital. He was born Jan. 24, 1859, in Bailey, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Walkley. He was a retired hardware merchant and cream buyer. He had lived in this vicinity 30 years. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. J. A. Fox of Wingham, Ont; a son, Dr. E. O. Walkley of Battle Creek; 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday in the Athens Methodist church with the Rev. Frederick M. Thurston in charge. Burial will be in Burr Oak cemetery. The body will be at the Spencer funeral home here until noon Tuesday.

     Viola May Walkley was born on 27 January 1883 at Casnovia, Muskegon Co., MI. She was the daughter of Alfred Walkley and Emma Lenora Hibbs.1 Viola May Walkley married Dr. Josiah Alvin Fox, son of Adelbert Alvin Fox and Arrie Jane Fuller, on 22 May 1909 at Union City, Calhoun Co., MI, Alfred Walkley's 1942 obituary states he left 11 grandchildren. Counting the grandchildren of his other children, Mervin, Ralph, and Emmet, as of the 1940 census there were nine surviving. Therefore, it is clear that Viola and her husband had at least two children. DLB 2020. Viola May Walkley died after June 1942 at Wingham, Huron Co., Ontario, Canada, She was mentioned as a survivor in her father's obituary. She was buried at Wingham Cemetery, Wingham, Huron Co., Ontario, Canada, Findagrave #80350521.
