Maxine Blosfield was called home to the Lord on April, 11, 2010 in Upland, CA. Born November 15, 1917 in Pennsboro, WVA. She was preceded in death by her husband Gilbert (Gus) Blosfield. Maxine is survived by a daughter Jackie Steece and son-in-law Bob Steece of Upland, 3 grandchildren, Steven Steece of Covina, Ronald Steece of Upland, Rita Gay of Upland and great grandchildren Allison Steece, Stephanie Steece, Kristin Steece, Tyler Steece, Kelli Steece, Jacob Gay, and Abbey Gay all of Upland. She also leaves behind a sister Junnita Blair and brothers; Doc Weiford, and Dale Weiford of Massillon, Ohio, Howard Weiford of Arkansas, and Dallas Weiford of Mission Viejo, CA. Maxine came to California in 1941 during the war working at Lockheed Aircraft in the blue print Dept. Following the war she went to work for Abbot Labs in Alhambra as a Lab Technician, retiring in 1980 after 35 years. After retiring Maxine did volunteer work at San Gabriel Hospital, San Antonio Hospital and the Literacy Group in San Gabriel. She was a member of the Women-3/8s Club of Upland & the First Christian Church of Upland. AS to her request there will be no services, Donations in Maxine name may be made to the ALZEHEMIERS Foundation.

Paul A. Weigle Dies Sunday — Paul A. Weigle, 74, RR 1, Polo, died Sunday at the Continental Manor Nursing Home in Polo following an extended illness. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Polo with Rev. Andrew Tetzlaff officiating. Burial will be in South Elkhorn Cemetery. Visitation is Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Woodin Funeral Home in Milledgeville. He was born Jan. 9, 1904 in Freeport the son of Harvey and Jemima Willett Weigle. He was a retired farmer. He married Mildred Elsey on Feb. 12, 1924. Survivors include his widow; one son, Gene Weigle of Polo; three daughters, Mrs. Ron (Neita) Bjorkland of Mt. PAUL A. WEIGLE Funeral services were held Wednesday at St. Marks Lutheran Church in Polo for Paul A. Weigle. Rev. Andrew Tetzlaff officiated and burial was in South Elkhorn Cemetery near Milledgeville. Mrs. Lois Schmidt of Polo was organist and Bob Hedrick was soloist. Pallbearers were Casey Buck, Clancy Buck, Paul Silvius, Mike Davis, Kenneth Obendorf and Denver Diehl, all grandsons. Mrs. Dorothy Strite, Mrs. Fern Schmidt and Harvey Brown were in charge of the flowers.

He was buried in October 1978 at South Elkhorn Cemetery, South Elkhorn, Carroll Co., IL, Findagrave #67682041.

Emil was born in Crone, Prussia, to Carl August Weihe and Anna Pansegrau. He immigrated from Prussia in 1878 aboard the ship Gellert. His siblings who also immigrated were Carl, Rudolph, Ferdinand, Robert, and Martha. He married Emilie Brueggman and had three sons: Otto H., Henry O., and Walter M. He was a pharmacist by trade and owned several drug stores in the Fort Wayne area.

He was buried in December 1935 at Concordia Lutheran Cemetery, Ft. Wayne, Allen Co., IN, Findagrave #22467826.
