Robert J. White, age 93, of Route 4, Jonesboro died March 24th at Colonial Hill Nursing Home following an illness of six weeks.
He was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County and a retired farmer. He was preceded in death by his wife, Effie Miller White in 1930 and was a son of the late Alfred and Rebecca Bowman White. Mr. White was a member of First Church of the Brethren.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Ruth Farnsworth, Johnson City, Mrs. Grace Shull, Quito, Ecuador, and Mrs. Elsie Garwood, Clifton Forge, Va; one son Rev. Paul R. Funeral services were held Friday from the First Church of the Brethren and interment in the Boones Creek Church of the Brethren cemetery.
