Israel Boone

     Israel Boone was born on 25 January 1759. He was the son of Daniel Boone and Rebecca Bryan. Israel Boone died on 19 August 1782 at Blue Licks, Nicholas Co., KY, at age 23 Killed in the Battle of Blue Licks, Kentucky, at the end of the Revolutionary War.

     Israel Boone was born on 9 May 1726 at Butler's Mill, Bucks Co., PA, Converted from Quaker (old style) date notation. He was the son of Squire Boone and Sarah Morgan. Israel Boone married Martha (?) on 13 December 1747 at Lancaster Co., PA.
Note: The Moravians made their first settlement near Winston Salem, North Carolina in 1753. This was only about twenty miles from the Boone and Bryan settlements on the Yadkin. In the first group of settlers was a young doctor, Hans Martin Kalberlahn, who had obtained all the medical education available at that period and in proficiency, was fifty years ahead of his time. These Moravians kept careful diaries, recording the happenings of each day. The diary for 1755 contains the following entry:

August 26,1755 A consumptive by the name of Boone came with his mother and asked to remain for treatment and we could not refuse. We lodged him in the old house. September 01, the consumptive was taken home by his brother, who came for him last evening. He, Mr. Boone, returned on the 6th accompanied by his father, who remained overnight. On the 15th his brother came for him once more and he left, there being small hope of his recovery. From Moravian Records Vol 1. Israel Boone died on 26 June 1756 at Dutchman's Creek, Rowan (now Davie) Co., NC, at age 30.

     Jacob Boone was born in 1754 at Exeter, Berks Co., PA. He was the son of Joseph Boone and Elizabeth Warren. Jacob Boone married Mary DeHart, daughter of Gilbert DeHart, in 1774 at Berks Co., PA. Jacob Boone was buried in May 1827 at Old Pioneer Cemetery, Maysville, Mason Co., KY. He died on 4 May 1827 at Mason Co., KY.

     Jacob Boone was born on 25 November 1823 at Adams Co., OH.1 He was the son of John Boone and Margaret Cooper. Jacob Boone married Margaret Blythe, daughter of Stephen D. Blythe and Nancy (?), circa 1850, ten children born to the marriage, seven living as of 1900 census.2 Jacob Boone died on 18 February 1902 at age 78.

     James Boone was born on 7 July 1709 at Bradninch, Devonshire, England. He was the son of George Boone and Mary Milton Maugridge. James Boone married Mary Foulke on 1 May 1735. James Boone married Anne Griffith after 1756. James Boone died on 1 September 1785 at Exeter, Berks Co., PA, at age 76.

Jemima Boone

F, b. 21 May 1786, d. 9 December 1876
     Note: Jemima and Jacob had no natural children, however they raised a foster child, named Isabella Holt. Isabella married John McCall whose son inherited all of Jemima and Jacob's property, and took care of the old couple in their declining years. Jemima Boone was born on 21 May 1786 at Burke (now Caldwell) Co., NC. She was the daughter of Jonathan Boone and Susannah Nixon. Jemima Boone married Jacob Setzer on 4 October 1810. Jemima Boone died on 9 December 1876 at age 90.
