Age 88, passed away at Brewster Village on Wednesday, May 4, 2011. She was born in Lincoln, NE on July 7, 1922 the daughter of the late Ralph and Elvira (Collins) Whyman. On May 24, 1942 she married Lloyd Powers. They enjoyed 67 years of marriage. Mary was very involved at Memorial Presbyterian Church in Appleton and enjoyed volunteering for Meals on Wheels.

Mary is survived by her children: Margaret Anne "Peggy" (Mike) Aten of North Royalton, OH, Linda Hendersen of Leesburg, FL and Kenneth (Mugs) Powers of Appleton; eight grandchildren including: Kerri (Peter) Olsen and Kurt Powers: 20 great-grandchildren: a brother and two sisters; and Rick Hussey, who was like a second son. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd; and many brothers and sisters.

Burial of Mary's cremated remains will occur in Lincoln, NE. She was buried at Lincoln, Lancaster Co., NE.

     May Estelle Whyman was born on 25 January 1881 at Adams, Gage Co., NE. She was the daughter of Frank Eugene Whyman and Mary Ann Windle. May Estelle Whyman married Hugh William Jones, son of Thomas Jones and Rosetta Horsley. May Estelle Whyman died on 30 April 1963 at Eugene, Lane Co., OR, at age 82.
