Loree ( Wilkin) Smith was a very hard working Christian lady who was devoted to her two sons and raised them without the assistance of a real partner in life. She was dearly loved by all of her nieces and nephews as well as her own sons. She was always looking out for the children of her brothers and sisters and was very close to all; " Aunt Ree" as she was affectionately called by all of them. She was taken to the Lord early in life after a very long bout with cancer. Even in her weakened state she provided for her sons by making arrangements for them to be raised by Harold and Velma Prong, who was the minister for the Utica Church of Christ, in Utica, Ohio. She left these earthly bonds on January 15, 1963.
As fine tribute to her wishes that her sons would grow in their Christian faith, both have gone on to become active Ministers. She would have been extremely proud and has probably been watching over them all these years.
