He was the son of Franklin J. and Anna Bell (Windle) Williams. On May 18, 1947, in Lima, he married Georgia Marie Seyler, who preceded him in death.

Surviving are two sons: Robert Jr., Lima, and Tim, MI; a daughter, Joyce (Gerry) Burton, Lima; a son-in-law, Dean McCombs, Lafayette; a brother, Charles; and twelve grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.

Deceased are a daughter, Judy Kay McCombs; three brothers: his twin, William 'Bill', James and Thomas; a sister, Esther Hotter; and a great-grandson.

He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps from 1944 to 1946 alongside his twin brother in the Pacific Theater. He retired from Lima Correctional Facility as a Corrections Officer after 10 years. He served the Free Methodist and Missionary Churches as Minister for 30 years.

A funeral service will be at First Missionary Church, Lima, with Rev. Dr. Timothy White officiating, and assisted by Gerry Burton. Interment will be in Salem Cemetery, Westminster.

He loved his grandchildren and enjoyed fishing. He was preceded in death by his 1st wife, Florence and 2nd wife, Edna. Surviving are 2 sons, Lewis (Julie) and Charles (Patricia), both of Lansing; 4 grandchildren; 1 brother, Charles (Jane) Williams of Lansing. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 15, 10 a.m. at the Gorsline-Runciman Co. Lansing Chapel, 900 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing. Interment will follow in Deepdale Memorial Park.
