     Sarah Wolfe was born in 1761. She was the daughter of Michael Wolfe and Maria Gertraut Brombach. Sarah Wolfe married Jacob Lotz on 22 December 1782. Sarah Wolfe died in 1837. She was buried in 1837 at Wilkinsville Cemetery, Wilkinsville, Vinton Co., OH.

     Sarah Wolfe was born on 2 March 1843 at near Leaf River, Ogle Co., IL.¹ She was the daughter of Daniel Wolfe and Catharine Miller.¹ Sarah Wolfe married Daniel Stover, son of John Price Stover and Magdalina Dierdorff, on 18 March 1861.¹ Sarah Wolfe died on 17 September 1920 at age 77.¹

     Stella Wolfe was born in August 1894 at Franklin or Dent Co., MO.¹ She was the daughter of John H. Wolfe and Elizabeth Frances Windle.¹

     Dr. Thomas L. Wolfe was born on 16 December 1868 at Ivanhoe, Linn Co., IA, His headstone and other family history documents show 1872, however he was clearly listed and age two on the 1870 census.^1,2 He was the son of Daniel D. Wolfe and Elizabeth E. Dill. Dr. Thomas L. Wolfe married Wilma F. Meyers. Dr. Thomas L. Wolfe lived in April 1940 at 208 West First Street, Mt. Vernon, Linn Co., IA. Doctor Thomas L. Wolfe, MD, was born on the Wolfe farm outside Mount Vernon, in Linn County, Iowa.

There is some confusion as to dates of birth in family accounts.

The 1870 US Census for Franklin Township gives his age as two years old.

The 1880 US Census for Linn County, Iowa records Thomas Lindly Wolfe's age as 12. the 1900 US Census reports his age as 30. The American Medical Association also gives an approximate confirmation of the latter date in a biographical sketch.

the biography commemorating his three terms in the Iowa State Legislature gives his date of birth as December 16, 1872.

Doctor Wolfe was educated at the Iowa City Academy, the University of Iowa at Iowa City, and at the University of Kentucky.

Also active in business and real estate with his brother, Doctor John D. Wolfe (1861-1921), Doctor Thomas Wolfe was a community leader and a public servant.

Doctor Wolfe was known for his habit of forgetting to charge patients who were of modest circumstances and limited means.

He served a term as Mayor of Mount Vernon in 1914 and was elected to the Iowa State Legislature as a Republican in 1922, 1924, and 1928, serving from January 8, 1923 until January 13, 1929.

A now forgotten footnote was the Doctor's cordial acquaintance with a Missouri cousin, Missouri State Senator Henry Cain (1878-1954.)

The Missouri lawyer was the son-in-law of one of Doctor Wolfe's aunts, and a dyed in the wool Southern Democrat.

     Anna Wolford was also known as "Nancy". She was born on 2 June 1832 at Sullivan Co., TN; daughter of George and Mary (Hancher) Wolford. She married Rev. Henry David Giesler, son of Adam Giesler Jr. and Anna Marie Devault, on 9 March 1854. Anna Wolford died on 7 April 1893 at Oakley, Logan Co., KS, at age 60

Mrs. Anna Giesler was the daughter of George and Mary Wolford, was born in Sullivan county, in east Tennessee, June 2, 1832, and died in this city April 7, 1893, aged 61 years.?She was baptized in infancy and was confirmed and became a member of the Evangelical Lutheran church in girlhood.?She was united in marriage to Rev. Henry D. Giesler, a Lutheran minister, on the 9th day of March, 1854, with whom she lived a happy life until Dec. 15, 1864, when her husband was killed in Virginia, he being an officer in the Confederate army.?She was buried in the Oakley cemetery on Sunday, April 9, the services being held in the M. E. church.

She leaves a son, John D., and a daughter, Mary E. Giesler, both of this city.?Mrs. Giesler was a loving wife and a kind and devoted mother and a true and good neighbor.?But above all she has been for many years a Christian, living an earnest Christian life, with a firm hope and trust in her Savior.?A kind mother, a good neighbor and a true friend is gone.? Her memory will be revered by all who knew her..
